Computer games.

Went to buy the outer worlds at game as I’d actually scrimped enough to buy it. Had sold out within a day. Had to pay the extra £5 for it from the psn store.

Are you playing it on Supernova? I just started it on that (after being delayed thanks to an MOT) but will probably wuss out when the going gets tough.
Is that the difficulty? I just stuck it on normal. Only died once, but mainly as I wasn't paying attention.....Was laying down suppressing fire as I crossed open ground, only to get half way across to run out of ammo, and like 6 marauders returning fire, now at will....needless to say I got a bit dead with no cover.

Of you are doing it on pc, metro Exodus is in there as well. And Gears 5 (which isn't terrible!).

Dirt Rally 2 as well as a cracking little indie game called Bad North

Yeah pc , made up with those games on offer. Perhaps finally finish dishonoured 2 now after giving up a few years ago.

I wasn't a big fan of the first metro , I'm assuming then that the latest one is far better a game than it. May get round to it, and wolfenstein 2 (I got stuck on the intro of the first FFS)
SOT is a great laugh when playing with friends. Had some superb hours playing this causing mayhem to other boats. Have not played it for a few months so no idea what new content there is now.

Its a game that you create your own content and for that its superb

I followed it when it came out and got the impression that it was boss with friends but the launch content ran out rather quickly.

I can see the joy (and frustration) of a solo pirate in a populated game though. Try and rob someone's ship

Supernova is absolutely insane.

I loved the idea of it (eating, drinking, sleeping etc) but there are a couple of things that made me switch back down to Hard.

The fact that you can only sleep in your own bed on the ship makes no sense at all, when there are perfectly good beds dotted around the universe. Also, companions' perma-death is too much. They're full of interesting characterisation and more importantly - quests. I'm not missing out on an entire storyline because Parvati suicide charged into a primal behemouth 2 minutes after she joined me.

Mods will sort that out, but for now I'll stick with Hard.

They did add other things after the launch of the game which gave the game something extra whilst on the open sea, but i've not been back on it for months. Its certainly a unique style of play in which jumping in with your mates you create your own fun and content.

The devs would further boost this game by giving different gamestypes online, like a matchmaking playlist, but i am not sure SOT even has the numbers to fill this anymore.

All this talk of supernova on the outer worlds.

I was stuck on normal difficulty not long after leaving the spaceship for the engine.

The beamoth primes finished me off

@Kenshin

Yeh I’m rubbish at these games too; combat is my weakness on Xbox FPS/RPG as I naturally walk around the game with my camera angle too low and can’t seem to fix it. Means when I go to shoot someone I’m always aimed at their shins haha. Gonna try it for PC today instead as I think that’ll be easier.

I’be just left the town to retrieve that book but the house is guarded by like 5 marauders.

Not that far yet haha

I did notice a frame rate issue for pc. I haven't got a super computer so my specs rolled back but it was showing lower frames then what was visible which is odd. Meant to be an issue they will fix but it only really struggled at ultra for me , with shadows and stuff turned down to get it running fine.

I want to get into the gun aspect of the game as they seem to be relying on promoting that quite a lot. However that first part I ended up using the marauder sword instead to much better effectiveness.

Either way early signs is that I'm going to love this game. It's my genre of game tbh, and the similarities to fallout are just enough for me to instantly get hooked.
