Really enjoying Dark Souls - right up my street, difficulty level is just right.

Played the Witcher 3 last year and it's an interesting comparison - the story of DS is nearly non-existent and feels meaningless, but it's clearly an absolute classic game. Witcher 3 was also great but the storytelling / characterisation was super strong, without that it probably would have been quite generic in gameplay.

Still replaying through the remastered version of this atm.
Trying to solo all the bosses for some mad reason. Was doing cartwheels around the room when I finally did Ornstein & Smough solo

Near the end game now and about to jump into the ‘Artorias of the Abyss’ DLC area.

Absolutely tremendous game :D

Ornstein and Smough were too tough for me solo - summoned Solaire as I wanted to move the story along and I could see that it would take me days to beat them. If I do a second playthrough I'll try and beat them straight up (I've just knocked off Seath and Nido and will be doing New Londo ruins next).

Bosses haven't generally being too hard with the exception of O&S, the Capra Demon who was a colossal ballache to defeat in that narrow courtyard, and also the Stray demon gave me a load of bother. Think this last one was just me not being that good as I don't think he's meant to be that big of a deal.

To be fair, I rely heavily on the ‘Power Within’ pyromancy when dealing with bosses. It ups your damage output by 40% (but eats away at your health as a trade-off) combine it with a decent upgraded weapon and pine resin and you can carve through most enemies.

Man-Serpent Greatsword +15, Power Within and Gold Pine resin is my go-to atm :D

I can't believe Barkley has his own sword in Dark Souls.
