just wanted to say, don't feel the cold as much as most people, lived in Wisconsin for a while some years back, try those winters on for size, not one who reaches for extra blankets or hot water bottles if theres like a touch of frost, can cope well in cold conditions, lived with them for long enough, winters my favorite season really.

Fairly constant here, hovering round 0 at the moment, went down to about -4 earlier.

Feel sorry for you guys, i was up in liverpool last winter. that was pretty cold.

Fairly constant here, hovering round 0 at the moment, went down to about -4 earlier.

Feel sorry for you guys, i was up in liverpool last winter. that was pretty cold.

By ours has just been abandoned . Coz we live on the highest point in the City , no buses / cabs / posties , etc have come anywhere near since Monday .
The School has still got an ice rink for an approach road , and our car park is currently the automobile equivalent of an Elephant's Graveyard .
Mad as fuk .

First thing this morning I had to thaw the mains pipe into the house with a hair dryer so we could use the loo and have a drink, combi boiler had jacked in so that had to be drained as the spoil pipe was backing up frozen solid, only just got that working on top of which the poor old dog has been in hospital overnight for a final attempt to save her, wife in tears......................why is life so crap all at once?

The Shabs have called a game off on Sunday , cause of the state of the streets / roads around here . I'm about 500 yards away from there , and they use our car parks . They were right to sack it , but it also tells us there's fulk all down for gritters pre-Monday .

Made up I paid that Poll Tax . though .
