It's an absolute epidemic amongst young people here, they just have to have it of a night out, resulting in crippling expenses and debt.

And the quality of it is very suspect, to put it mildly, most of the time.

It's a drug I was never fond of, thankfully.

Pass the Gary's, at a fiver a pop you can't do too much financial damage there, and much better craic.

Because it’s highly addictive. As someone that has struggled with opiate addiction in the past, if I tried heroin once I’d be on it. Also see the documentaries on how heroin use etc has altered lives in the US rust belt. If it was 2% saying they tried it and 1.5% saying they were addicted that would make far more sense.

Without wishing to sound all "pure", since I have had the last 4 and a bit weeks off, my Monday are now a pleasure rather than an absolute living mare. Have made brek, walked the dog and done a bit of work. Usually I would be an emotional wreck and good for nothing.

I feel for you, tough day ahead. A pint helps.

Nowt cool about it mate, ashamed really these days. It is not something I talk about locally that is for sure.

It’s one of them where I will rave about how much I hate it, what a rip off it is, and how terrible the quality is, but if you offered me a few lines I would bite your hand off!

Seriously though, not my drug of choice, too expensive, doesn’t last long enough and like all drugs of its kind, it causes depression when it’s over, and makes it very difficult to live without once you get used to how much better it makes things seem when you are using it! But it is bad news and really not good for the heart especially mixed with alcohol...

The only drug I really do these days is Kratom, and that can be difficult enough to control. Good thing about it is though, that although it makes me feel great sometimes, it doesn’t really make you high, so although you might be subtly stimulated or feeling great you’re not actually, or at least not obviously on drugs, and can therefore still function.

Crazy addictive though. I have to swear on my own child’s life to force myself to only use it 3 times a week. Not that it causes much of a problem as an addiction (WD is mild and I don’t use more than 6g in a day) but it does have side effects, lowering sex drive, constipation, irritability, and just a general mental fog and numbness.
