If the entire season can't be completed before July, which is traditionally the beginning of the preperation for the following season, then it shouldnt continue. There has to be a line drawn somewhere or it could lead to future complications.

Would the season just carry on indefinitely if it couldn't be completed by September? Say there's another lockdown? Carry it on in to 2021? Maybe the next lockdown is 6 months because the virus becomes airborne. Maybe we could start it back up in May next year. Then break for the Euros and pick it up again after that. All so we can crown Liverpool champions of the 2019/20/21 season.

I find it hard to believe there isnt at least 1 bylaw that covers a scenario in the event of a season being disrupted or cancelled. Something that outlines a cut off or an agreement amongst teams and TV Companies. It's either a major oversight in the rules of the game, or it contradicts the decision they want to make and so don't they want to own up to its existence.

The entire thing is a farce.

Should just do what the Belgians did - league is now final. Voiding seems stupid given how much footy was played, though it would be funny to see the RS screwed over. But they are already losing out on a record season, so that is at least comforting.

We now have a top manager and he has lots of time to strategize how he is going to take us forward, if we actually start next season on time.

I wouldn't mind THEM getting their little trophy . That asterisk in the record books will always be there to taunt them when we're not around to remind them how tainted their win is .

To much at risk to try and finish some games and then try and start another season. It’s only a matter of time now..... tick tock tick tock it’s void a clock

Again - you cant give a single reason why. Why is riskier to play a game from this season than next?

Good man - spouting rubbish again. Not issue with you hammering home the void, void, void; it's certainly the most likely outcome, but you continue to suggest playing a game from this season when safe is risking lives, yet cant give a reason??

I think it quite obvious myself and if you need @matty1878 to advise you on the why and wherefores then you have other problems than I first thought.

If you read my comment I did not defend the furlough system , I defended the fact that Everton might indeed do it as it is a business .Do I like it no but I don't like many things that are a fact of life ,would you see Everton suffer unfairly if every other team did it and it affected the running of our club? Can I ask how much you are prepared to forfeit of your wages ? If this lot has made you unemployed then I apologise or does this rule only apply to people who earn more than you ?
This has affected everybody in the world. No one is escaping from this financially, or more importantly from a health point of view. You did defend the business decisions of LFC, THFC etc , there’s no getting away from that. They chose to make that decision. They didn’t have to make that decision. That’s an important distinction. I don’t have a business, I can’t decide to forfeit wages. I can decide to give to charities or help out people suffering. What I can’t decide on is how much tax I pay, after all this, to repay the money paid out to LFC and THFC staff whilst other non playing staff were still being paid £7m a year. You obviously think that’s a good business decision for those teams to make. I personally think it’s a short term selfish decision for them to make that has really put them in a bad light.(apart from in your eyes)

No. I sincerely hope there isn't anyway but I keep hearing of a "second wave".
It could be because after the First World War, the Spanish Flu had 2 waves, so people think this will. Plus if it slows down and people think it's gone and start going to mass gatherings again, it could start back up, a second wave.
The second wave of Spanish Flu was worse, obviously as a world we are cleaner...etc now but a 2nd wave is still a worry.

The virus is in charge at the moment, not the government and certainly not the league or the FA.
The month of April is when we will probably see the crisis reach it's apex but that doesn't mean it is over then, it doesn't mean that people won't die and it doesn't mean that a second surge won't come if regulations are relaxed.

It is way too early to predict when football in any guise will be back.

Is it true that there is an expected second wave of this virus in November time ?
not. sure on the timescale but it stands to reason, there will still be pockets of the virus. in the community and. when the community starts to mix again, the virus spreads again. Some will have immunity as they have. recovered from it so the bounce wont be as severe as the first bout
