It is honestly beyond me why you would think a game in which we overcame the opposition on four occasions does not constitute a battering, but a game in which we equalised to draw 1-1 does.

I wasn't the one that said we battered Arsenal mate. I questioned the part where you said we didn't play Arsenal off the park. I never said we battered Arsenal 1-1

We DID play Arsenal off the park..... we were much the better side and almost everyone on Arsenals forum were in agreement that they were fortunate to draw the game 1-1. We dominated and controlled the game from pretty much start to finish

Yeah ive seen the video of the reporters outside the ground and people's reactions. Absolutely shocking - and how gutted would you be? you'd regret it your entire life

I'd choose the term "dominated" Arsenal rather than batter. We didn't batter Arsenal as i'm sure we didn't even register a shot on target in the first half. However, for 40 minutes we completely outplayed them until the final shot/pass and they couldn't live with us. The fact that we didn't create any goal scoring chances in that game is the reason why we are currently 5th, and not in the top 2 or 3 though.

Well lets hope we do it at Goodison eh
