City Away Semi Final Second Leg Pub Advice

Just head to Piccadilly Gardens. Quite a few pubs/bars around there and they're reasonable priced for a big city. Come out of Piccadilly Station, take a right and just head onwards for 10 minutes or so. You'll see it signposted

Northern Quarter has nicer places but expect to pay London prices for drinks
After reading this I've decided to stay clear of the ground and drink in town, guess the next question is where?
yep northern quarter is better but shouldn't have any bother were ever you go Mollie

Salsbury is a great pub - depending what music your into, right next to Oxford rd station, not one you will see any trouble in either unless you wear a sons of anarchy hoody like i did and got threatened by real life bikers for wearing a patch of another biker gang on their terroitory!

Yes mancuinians aren't the brightest people in the world...

just want to point out some of the Northern Quarter probably won't let big groups of lads in, especially if they have liverpool accents and are clearly going to football. Extremely stuck up area

Never been to the Etihad before and was wondering what the away pub usually is? And what pub (if any) Blues will be drinking in before the game?

Thanks in advance :D

Can I recommend the following disguises to try and fit in around the ground:

  • Stonewash denim jeans and dark denim jacket
  • Just one ear ring
  • Gola trabs
  • A "mam" and "dad" tattoo across each of the six knuckles on your hand
  • A snide moustache (and yes I know you're a girl)

I'll be avin a few early beers in the The Old Monkey, Circus Tavern & the
Grey Horse Inn, 3 boozers all next to each other then off to Wetherspoons at Piccadilly & then a tram up

Britannia Sachas Hotel Tib Street, Piccadilly, are doing twin rooms £55

What's it like for parking near the Etihad does anyone know?

Few car parks along Ashton Old Road, I usually park on the one on Kay Street, as its a one way road, so brings you out a little bit further along Ashton Old Road so a little less time sat stuck in traffic. Traffic is horrendous all along there though, ten times worse than usual last week too because everyone was queueing up to get into one lane getting back on the Mancunian Way

Ah those pubs are two minutes from where I work! So gutted I couldn't get a ticket for this one, typical that I give up my season ticket this year.

Will be watching in Manchester with a city, Newcastle, Arsenal and maybe a Chelsea fan!

Not sure where yet, maybe bierkeller?

You won't find anywhere around the ground that isn't like walking onto the set of Shameless
Whole of Manchester is like that. Horrible place - be careful in city centre - got grief there last year for even being in one if there pubs ! In and out is best hopefully with a result !
