I'm working half a day on Christmas Eve & then I'll probably end up spending the rest of it shopping for presents & cards :(

Christmas is a traditional day of opening some prezzies, heading down to the boozer with the men of the family before going back home for a huge scran & some more ale

Boxing day is Boro away, looking to get a coach there so will have plenty of drinks on that

The 27th & 28th are both potentially all dayers with blues on other forums

It's going to get messy but I'm looking forward to it

I will spend most of Christmas day at the hospital, then about 8.30pm will go for my xmas dinner at my daughters(we will all be together at the hospital untill 7ish)then home and have a few drinks then have a few more if still sober have a few more .boxing day will be similar try to watch the game though.I hope every one on here as a really good time even you Kel:lol:

Echo's of John Lennons 'were bigger than jesus' line. In a way the girl from Seattle was right, but how did it go down.
Yeah she was just saying that it was a real 'all American' celebration. Regardless of creed or colour, all Americans celebrate Thanksgiving. Not that it was better than Christmas. No-one took offence. See what you mean as it could be taken out of context (as was John Lennon). She probably expressed the idea better than I put it across here.:)

Over here The christmas eve dinner is the big family affair. With the outlaws, sorry, inlaws and the kids. We all open the prezzies at midnight. Eating leftovers on christmas day (and boxing day, 27th etc.). Boxing day's not a holiday here so back to work. New year's eve more of the same for the evening meal and The 1st at midday. The 5th we take the kids into town to see the 'King's procession' and half the prezzies are left for them (the 3 kings) to deliver in the more traditional Spanish way.

Roy.
hoping you get the best of all gifts in the form of an upturn in the health front. All the very best to you and your family mate
