And that’s fine if you see it that way. I don’t think you’re wrong and I’m right, it’s just that my opinion differs.
I see an inconsistent player, prone to lapses in concentration, unable to read the game very well, who’s athleticism get’s him out of a lot of problems.
He’s like Pickford for me, decent but if we aspire to bigger and better things, shouldn’t be anywhere near the starting XI.
I think thats a bit harsh. I think young centre backs will have the occasional game when they don't play well, he certainly wasn't alone today and I'm sure he will continue to improve. He's had too many good MoM games recently for it to have been a fluke. I dont think playing alongside Keane helps him but the whole team was a shadow of anything we have seen recently and i'm hoping things improve for the next game. Generally as players mature their concentration etc improve so maybe Mason will too.
