Chelsea Transfer Ban

Apparently if they appeal it won’t make them able to trade in the summer like it has with other clubs as the timeframe isn’t right. This is the end of Sarri then because if they kept him they’d be stuck with a load of players who don’t fit the managers stubborn system.

A couple of windows transfer ban isn’t much of a deterrent imo, should be like a five year ban and then they could finally start using the hordes of promising talent out on loan they’ve been stockpiling for years.

As has been mentioned, we are currently serving a two year FA ban on transfers in of u18 players. I noticed in the article that FIFA are continuing to investigate other clubs, and certainly in the past few years we have “brought in” a number of u18 players from Europe, and the RS have brought in a load from Spain/Portugal over the years. I have no idea if players brought in met the criteria FIFA state, so it will be interesting to see if anything more develops.

They will appeal and be able to spend in the mean time. They’ll spend big bucks in the summer and then the ban will be enforced imo

They'll stick in an appeal looking to splurge a huge amount this summer and hope to have the punishment reduced to 1 window (next Jan).

If not they'll be trying to hold on to Hazard at all costs. Imagine him forcing a move through and them not being able to buy replacements :) .
On top of that - consecutive seasons out of the CL will mess them up big time (already looks like they'll miss out on CL this year).

Would love that club to totally collapse and end up where they were heading for before Abravomich took over and ruined football. Administration and relegation.

This might actually be a blessing. they've let a few top players go over the years. they may have to pick thier better loan players and turn into a solid team due to necessity.

Bit annoying and obnoxious that Chelsea say they're stunned they can't put this on hold whilst they appeal. Think it's totally right that they aren't, la liga(?) ruined this all by constantly going back on their barca ban and in the end gave them the chance to buy all the players they wanted too, to get them by under the ban.

Hope fa stand firm. City also being investigated. I mean I know these things take time, but it's almost pointless doing it all after both teams have built themselves up as major contenders, won multiple titles and massive squads to cope with the consequences.
