You mean we will rue the day he decided he wanted to leave? You act like we're selling a player who wants to stay but is being forced out of the club. This is not the case. He wants to go, there's very little we can do about that other then hang on for the right price or say no to any move at all.

The point has been raised a few times in this thread . The player clearly wants to leave so whatever the expectations are regarding the fee , just sell and get him off the wage bill .

How do you know when we first offered Ross a new deal? There's been talk of a new contractfor ages, we offered him a great deal midway through last season. It was only at the end of last season when Koeman said it needed to be resolved that it really caught everyone's attention but we have no idea how long negotiations had been going on prior to that. The only thing the club is guilty of is foolishly believing that an alleged boyhood blue would want to stay at the club rather then sit on Chelsea or Tottenham's bench.
