HOWARD WTF! He's did that about 3 times today.

He's a very good keeper and there isn't too many keepers out there that we could afford that are better but he needs to sit and clear his head for a couple weeks. Been awful.

Another draw, granted Chelsea probably wouldn't have put 11 back if it was 0-0 (and we wouldn't have gone as forward much) but these stupid gaffes have cost us so many pts this year. If you look at the table if it stays to form someone is going to win this league with 79 pts. If we only played the way we did after christmas last year we would be no less than 4th right now.

I know Arteta is quality and well-loved around here, but it just seems when the going gets tough we play faster and more decisive when he isn't on the field. Especially Fellaini and Rodwell, and Pienaar as well.

I also pulled a muscle in my chest windmilling in my living room after the goal. Woke up the dogs, but looks like I need some drinks to get this pain gone. Thank god the misses is a Massage Therapist!

After his stupid stamp, maybe he should sit a bit and watch.

Coleman's shove in the back on Terry was a highlight...and his afters with Cashley.

Oh, yeah...and Timmy's foot left in on the protected species the Lesser Spotted Cech

Arteta has been playing the ball to the sides too much. Fellaini and Rodders were taking people on and going at goal. He should stay on the bench and watch a few games. We all know his class he just needs to start playing like it again.

solution : put arteta on the right (coming inside when ever he wants ) with coleman moving back to rb , making overlapping runs.

I think today shows why we don't shoot from distance more often.

At least Fellaini and Beckford hit the ball into row z, Rodwells late effort would of embarrassed a 9 year old girl.

You think they'd practice in training though.

Well deserved point, that.

Beckford should start next game. He did really well today, just needs to calm down a bit.

Fantastic stuff from Baines for the goal. Coleman wasn't bad at all, either. Felli, too, and Distin had Drogba in his back pocket.

Shame we gave away a soft goal, 'cos they only had a couple of other decent opportunities.

Howard is really scaring me at the moment though.

Oh, and I don't think I'd ever tire of punching John Terry in the face.

I thought we played some nice measured stuff second half. Fellaini was startng to pull a few strings and they found our play down the flanks a bit hard to handle. Only one team in it in the last 20 minutes for me.

We didnt do that first half and tried passing it around their box as per usual. When we hit the flanks and spread the play, leaving the striker in and around the box, it worked and its basic. For some reason this season we've use the flanks less and tried to walk it in. The minute we use the wingers/full backs and get good deliveries in this season, we've scored. Not a coincidence that IMO.

But add to the fact Chelsea had a 3 man midifeld of Mikel, Essien and Ramires at one point did mean we could boss their midfield if we played it wide.

dont agree with any of that highlighted.
i thought the first half was very good ,both teams were working very hard to combat each other.
our overall play i thought was superb from start to finish considering we are away and playing against the prem champions.
we looked more handy than them imo.

1st half they bossed us. We were slow and every time we had the ball there was no one to pass to. Happened to Fellaini, Pienaar and Rodwell lots. Even Neville had nothing on and did a piss poor pass back. Felli and Rodwell sat too deep and they came at us.

2nd half, Rodwell played more advanced and we used the wings more. Pienaar dropped deep in the middle (which he has done for most part of this season) and gave Baines acres of space to run into. We used it and pinged balls in. All you need then is your attackers to get on the end of it.

Which is why I honestly dont agree that Saha and Yak need binning etc. From the games I've watched, these players are never in the box. That changes, you ping crosses in and leave Cahill to attack late from outside the box, you're strikers score.
