2025/26 Charly Alcaraz

Massively superior quality on the ball.

Looks after the ball far, far better than Alcaraz does, generally speaking. Or at least on the basis of the evidence of what they've both done since they arrived here.

Alcaraz deserves huge credit for what he did yesterday. Might not have been directly responsible for any of the goals, but I'd argue his impact on the game overall yesterday was the greatest he's had since he arrived, regardless of other games where he's scored or assisted.

But again, if you're asking me who is going to look after the ball better and who is going to make the more clever passes etc in the final third, it's KDH all day every day.

"Looking after the ball better" is not a quality I want from an Everton 10 compared to "risky, direct, penetrative passes".

By "more clever passes" I assume you mean slow build up play.

I would suggest that fans want to see Everton play with a high intensity, quick on the transition with risks taken to win football matches, rather than slow play by attacking players to keep the ball.

He’s bad and we wasted a ton of money on him. It’s not fair to him personally but it’s the exact type of thing that shows we still don’t get it as a club and that’s why it’s so infuriating to me.
People who think KDH has been bad is a great sign that they don't know anything about football. Real outing yourself type stuff.

Edit: I can see wanting a different type of player in 10 though. But in terms of quality and doing what he's asked to do he's been fantastic.

OH I get it.

We should have signed Adam Wharton instead, when he was available.

Or we should have bought somebody else for 27m, I dunno, somebody like Gmbaninmin.

Signing players isnt an exact science.

You are still judging KDH on things beyond his control.
I’m judging him on what the expectation should be, which is essentially Grealish. That’s what we should be getting from this type of player.

It's one thing for you to assert KDH is overrated by our fans or that you doesn't think his profile of play don't suit the squad, it's another to absurdly claim he's a lackluster footballer. Thats just a staggeringly perplexing shout but perfectly on brand for your contrarian perspective towards the game

When Big Oil has it in for a player, there really is no coming back from it.

To say KDH is average is ridiculous.

He’s shown some beautiful technique on the ball at times and can finish well.

The question is how often he can produce in games.

He hasn’t played enough for us to know yet but his technique and passing, finishing are all above average.
Crazy right? He’s played a key role in most of our goals this season and has been at the heart of most of our best player. Messi wouldn’t get assists playing behind Barry and Beto.

Idk mate Chelsea basically trusted him for Thursdays in Scandinavia only and before that he was mixing it up in the championship. This idea that he’s beyond reproach is a lot to me.
