I stand by it. They're the type of fan that will be stating that finishing in 8th place and losing a Semi-Final should be the target for next season.

Every away fan likes going away or they wouldn't do it. Going all that way to a game, knowing you might lose, you have to enjoy it otherwise you'd save the time and money to stay home. It's the utmost dedication from a supporter to make regular away trips

I know those people. I am one of those people, we go to as many away games as we can and love it

None of us want Everton to not sign players. Not a single one of us

None of us want to travel to a semi final to see us lose it

None of us go into the season wanting us to finish 8th

We want to see Everton win and succeed, especially after doing a ten hour round trip to bloody Norwich or Swansea

And yes, we like going to Villa, and Old Trafford and St James Park, because they're big grounds and big teams and beating those teams is immense. If you don't want to beat those teams in their own gaffs then why are you even a football fan?

You're way, WAY off here

You say that, but it has become commonplace for people to set targets of finishing mid-table and having 'good cup runs'. We all know that such people would class losing a Semi-Final as a 'good cup run'.

The actual match isn't even the highlight of the day out most times mate..

One thing I will say is that I want us to play the first team in the League Cup next season in every single round. We should be targeting to win one of the two Cups, and that one should be the easiest if we attack it the right way

I'm on the record as saying we need to win the League Cup next season, and I'm an away fan who enjoys going to away games, so that proves there's no correlation, because otherwise I'd just want us to have a run and my target wouldn't be for us to win it

No correlation

I'm not saying there aren't fans that think those things, but putting the blame on the away support is ridiculous

After the fact if you want to say losing a semi final constituted a good run then you can, because there are other benefits that can come from it, such as confidence for next year, improved results in the league, just more confidence in general as you get used to winning games, the positive vibes that being in contention gives you etc

But this upcoming season we need to win one. 25 years is too long to wait

You lot still haven’t got over that league cup final in 77. Calm down lads , we’ve only just came up. I look forward to our games. There has always been a bit of a rivalry between the two clubs.
How much of a squad rebuild do you think Villa might need for next season? Must be a few there that for various reasons, age, abaility....etc wont hack the top flight, what do you think?

We definitely need to spend to bring players in. We also have a few loans that will be need to turn into permanent transfers for us. We’ve got a decent keeper. Mings and Tuanzebe are loans who we need to keep. El Ghazi and Abraham are loans we need to keep. Those four loans alone will cost a lot of money to keep(that’s if we can buy them) . We’ve not got a premier league team like wolves had when they came up. We do have 6 premier league players in the team already though imo.

If we can just bring in another four players plus keep the loans then I’m hoping we can stay up comfortably, then build the following season. We will need to spend the best part of 100m imo.

Heads have gone here because villa got promoted? Who is bothered if their owners are richer than ours, doesn’t mean they are more willing to invest that money in to the club, and what’s this talk of them overtaking is, just because wolves finished 3 points ahead of us this season.... get a grip we are a team still in transformation under Silva who has had 1 season, there is going to be a massive clear out in the summer and hopefully brands can do his magic in the transfer market again. Let other teams worry about us and not the other way round.
