Sheff Utd 26/12
Man City 28/12
West Ham 01/21

3 games cramped in with an injury hit squad looking fatigued.

Honestly wouldn't like to say how many points we'll get them these. Would snatch your hands off at 5-6 points but think more 2-3 especially with both Richarlison and James out.

Would do wholesale changes for Sheff Utd and try nick a win or at worst take a point away from home. Gives the starting 11 5x days rest from last night until a tough game against Man City then hope both James and Richarlison are back for West Ham in which we can smash them.

For me, change for City. Go strong and look to win Sheffield United and West Ham. We don't want to throw those games away.

Problem is have the starting 11 got the legs for Sheff Utd? They looked absolutely goosed yesterday and that aint going to change in the space of 3 days.

This is where having crocks like Gbamin/Delph/Gomes/Toshun doesn't help as if we had reliable squad players you could rotate.

I think a few could do 1 more game. I mean Holgate will come back in too which will help. We can't afford to drop point at Sheffield United messing about with the team. It's at least forgiveable against City.

My worry is we turn up leggy and unable to break them down and get sucker punched.

We then have 2 days to rest up against a City side who will pass it about us for fun.

From a purely combative level I think the key players would benefit massively from having 5 days rest before City but I doubt Carlo will rotate as he obviously doesnt he the squad or like/trust Gordon/Nkounkou.

My worry mate, FWIW is we rotate for Sheffield United, and slip up. Our 2nd string lads are a big drop off and it's the sort of game wespinelessly lose 2-0/2-1. We then stick closer to our first team out against City, who still aren't good enough to defeat them most of the time, so maybe we get a draw or defeat their too. We are also then tired against West Ham. I know I probably sound likethe xmas grinch, but I've seen us "everton" many a christmas.

Even tired first team lads are better than then reserves. Get them on for 60 and rotate. Write City off and rest the forward lads. But christ get a win v Sheff U.

Just throw the white flag in against City, They are quite beatable but when we're needing to rotate and we have Sheffield and West Ham who we probably have a better chance and won't have to be defending all game because City will have most of the ball and we'll be chasing shadows. We have to win on Saturday we need to bounce back from that bruising United gave us.
