I've said time and time again, Pickford rules us out & probably out of top 4 if you look at the numbers, but bloody hell, I think it could be on.

90 points was probably the target at the stop of the season, thats probably 82/83 now given injuries and points dropped already. 2 points a game from here is doable with a kind run injury wise

If we win Sunday with James and Richarlison out I'll start to believe.

Sadly without them and Coleman I fear we dont have enough winners in that team and the likes of Bernard and Iwobi are too passive to really take it to Saints away from home.

This one is going to be a real test of the mentality to see if we have turned the corner or not as there will be quite a few of last years spineless team in the lineup.

I think the team is solid down to about 15 or 16 at which point depth does start to thin out... Past 15 its players like Delph, Davies, Kenny, Nkounkou, Branthwaite

But between 10-15? Its Bernard, Iwobi, Godfrey, Gordon, Coleman. I think these are pretty good players that can do a job.

James puts us over the top, but Id expect without James we'd still be better than 13 other teams....

I think we are relying on Allan and Douc having a big big pair of performances on Sunday in the absence of James/Rich. If they can sustain 90 mins of cover of the line behind them - one of whom is a novice - then we still have the foundations for a solid and tight display. We will need this with Ings.

Assuming Godfrey starts RB then his forward runs last week offer some hope for advanced movement and some service for DCL. Am hoping Carlo starts Siggy rather than Gomes (who stunk out the derby) as we have also lost our dead-ball / corner threat in the absence of James. A draw looks the most likely outcome however this is a challenge for Carlo and his staff to coax an unexpected 8 out of 10 performance and perhaps a goal/assist out of an Iwobi or a Bernard.

If we are to push for the very top positions, this is a fixture that the RS/City would win without question. That's the bar now.
