We have been decimated by injuries this season of the scale most teams - would of hit freefall. - FACT
We have 8 league games left to consolidate 6th/5th - to be brutally honest in my mind 4th was always too much of an ask.
We are one game away from a Cup final
So lets forget about today and bring on Wigan!!!!

Pienaar has been of form for large chunks of the season. Bad injury, no preseason etc!
But to be fair over the last five games he and Baines have been cnsistently our best players for me.
I dont get the Jo bashing either, i though he did well today, certainly showed more quality and work ethic then Saha, you can see he has the quality what he lack is expeirence.

Agree with the sentiments of most, I'm not too angry or frustrated. We were missing our three most influential players outside of the defence and didn't perform to the level we can do. We were only ever one result like this away from 4th being out of reach, and it's happened.
I'd say we only have four or five players who are capable of being part of a competitive Champions League team at the moment (Jagielka, Lescott, Arteta, Cahill (I suppose) and Yakubu,), and maybe a couple of others who might get there one day (Baines, Fellaini, Rodwell). We're atleast two really good summers of recruitment away from Champions League qualification, and if last year is anything to go by we're not going to get it without an injection of funds from somewhere or other.
Still, we're in much better shape than most teams in the division, I'd say it's still a good time to be an Evertonian, we could be celebrating an FA cup win in two months time
