Before stating my opinion, I'm a lifelong Beşiktaş fan (and Everton fan since 2009).

Cenk is not a bad player by any means but claiming his skills are no less than Lacazette is a bit exaggeration in my opinion. I wouldn't compare the two.

Cenk is slower and his finishing rate is not very high. He will need to be very well fed to score goals.

The Turkish Yakubu?

played 24 of the last 27 for them mate

Ta, I'd just started to have a look at his competitive appearances, and he's hardly missed one in the last two years

Can't be expecting this lad to come in and perform miracles but hopefully be does have some goals in him. I'd like us to sign another forward as well though and send Sandro packing.

He is not a static target man who solely relies on good service. (maybe he was two years ago but not anymore) he won't just stand in the box and wait for a great delivery to score. He'll be on the move trying to make things happen. He is quite dynamic, hard to contain player. What he needs is just to build a good chemistry with the other forwards and never lose his physical qualities. These two are the most important things. His mobility, workrate and passing skills allows him to be used on the wings as a feeder when needed. His distribution is quite good.

some things other than goals:

key passes in the Galatasaray game

great first touch and delivery

starting and finishing the attack with full court sprint

assist against Porto

Very very risky buy (i dont mean hes not good, just that it could taken him an ages to adapt ala niasse) Is this pretty much nailed on then?

Dont know too much about him. Anyone who knows him well think he can adapt quickly to the premier league and score goals straight away? Beacause thats what we need

He wont get injured tonight at the game. No worries. He will play to say goodbye and probably score a few on his way out, considering besiktas line up will include two strikers, Cenk and Negredo.

And I'm relieved to see Cenk going to a club that he wants to go.
