We need a player to link attack and defence. Apart from Rooney (who struggles against high energy pressing teams) we've no one who can do this. Some argue Klassen could, but he's shown little in the game time he's had.

Well, when Niasse played in the Turkish league, and even after he left, he was considered to be a really average player(at best)

for example when he was targeted by Galatasaray last season, their fans reacted really angrily and asked the board to withdrew their interest on him.

what i basically mean is, Cenk is twice the player Niasse is and if you guys really are satisfied with a fringe player like Niasse, then you shouldnt have any worries with Cenk, yeah he is no Lewandowski but i repeat he is twice the player Niasse is..

Niasse is awful but in times like these a lot of our fans are clinging to anything. In all honesty, we need Cenk to be 5 times the player Niasse is.

When West Brom come to Goodison next week will be a good chance to see what the lad is made of. No matter how bad we are, we will definitely have control of the game and there'll be chances for whichever striker is up there.

Thought he showed some promise. Definitely a physical presence we lacked. Can’t remember winning a header on a corner before he did for the Rooney offside goal. He has no pace, but I thought he looked a decent target man. Decent run out to start, hope he can bed in more before West Brom

I agree mate, but after a 4-0 smashing today the lads will probably wait til we are 1-0 down to react. Current Everton mentality is to make it difficult.

So your point is? He got on to the big stage very recently and a few good performances in UCL won't change that. He still needs to prove himself in PL and we know a lot of players who was world beaters in other leagues but failed to make any impact in the Premier League.

Firstly i have to say that im one of the turkish (bjk) fans like the others that you see

I watched the match tonight..

First think that i have, tottenham did not playba superior game. Yeah score may be seen like that.. Unfortunately, - totally subjective comment - everton’s play style is totally based on physical struggle and i think again old school PL style..

Because of this, There's a big difference between Pep's team and the rest of the clubs.. (klopp’s liverpool is out this sort)..

Everton or any other club, does not matter, has to carry ball to frontline if they want to score and besides the play continous mostly at attack field.. but everton today cant move to ball and i think midfielders just physically good but not technically.. sorry but, according to this match at least me, i am feel so hopeless.. logically we can say that everton plays with these midfielders, wings..

But actually, there is an other problem to score..

Playing strategy.. cenk tried some short passes to direct siggy and the others, some reverse passes..

If Sam All, do not think, direct passes, little triangles or etc like all about technical ability of total team.. i think cenk or another one can not help your team..

I think there is a hard situation in front of sam and everton fans..

I highly wonder how sam create a team that can make attack..

Plus, if tonight you cant score then again this score is meaningless..(yeah spurs won in dortmund and real but both of team are wide and attack playing teams)..

Briefly, spurs not so good i think everton was soo much bad tonight.. passing faiks, disorderly teamwise movement and something like that..

I wonder next match to show how the team is step forward..
