Besiktas had a big slackness in turkish league this year because of the champions league victories and the 2 year in a row Turkish league winnings. If you compare the league and Cl performances of the team you'll see what I mean.
On the other hand, other teams in turkish league has a big honor issue on turkish league which they NEED to prove themselves in their league performances. Besiktas played with their %40 in the league and still has 6 points gap with the 1st. So dont compare Gomis with Cenk Tosun.
The only game besiktas take seriously in the league this season was the Galatasaray game and if u want to see what happened watch the highlights.

I think everton buy cenk tosun in a very very VERY cheap prize and besiktas is not the one who benefit in this deal.
It's the mid season, and everton buys a player with too much potential and discipline with 22 m euros + bonusses. If he proves himself in everton you can sell him 3-4 times more price to another, and if he don't, you don't lose much i think.

Welcome to Everton the Turkish Nick Cage!

I'm not in love with the deal, but you can't just look at his league performances. This Betsikas team CL performance is pretty much unprecedented. To pry Tosun away from a team going into the final 16 of the Champions league is a pretty big deal. So there are a lot of reasons why it's an expensive transfer.

Simply looking at stats though pretty much told us that Klaassen had scored for fun outscoring strikers and I think sandro had a better record last season than Neymar . We have to accept surely that there is a bit more to it than goals per game otherwise we’d all be scouts or managers .

I appreciate we’ve not done particularly well in the market this year but we might as well give the fella a chance mightn’t we ?
25-30mil is not giving someone a chance mate, that’s a considerable outlay of money for a donkey from the Turkish league who’s YouTube video isn’t even that good!! Swerve

He has a one in two average which is 15-18 goals a season, he has a decent assist contribution as well.

What people are missing is what he could bring to unlock other players, a cutting egde, making the ball stick, holding it up brining others into play.

We have over 100 million of talent in support players behind him in Bolaise, Rooney and Gylfi etc, the potential to unlock and optimise their talents and the contribution that could make is significant in my opinion.

His enabling and balancing potential is massive before looking at his strikers skills.

Not really, we could comfortably buy Basel's best player I would have thought.

Oh god, we did actually spend over £70m on Sigurdson and Bolasie didn't we.

Akanji, new CB, get it done orls.

You leave it to me buddy, all I need now is the Everton transfer money.

Highest transfer there is £10m or so, all we need to do is bid £25m for this Akanji lad and we'll get him for £30m
