But again - rotation.
For all Sam's faults, he isn't the dinosaur he's made out to be. He takes a very analytical approach to games and obviously felt that Martina was in a better physical shape to play than Kenny, and why shove Kenny at left-back where he's never played?
Martina is poor but relatively speaking has done well. However, he does require help.
You can get mad at having Sam here all you want but it won't change a thing mate. He hasn't made many bad decisions since he's come in and we're better now than when he took over. He needs to step it up over the next few weeks as we can't function going forward at the minute - but we haven't been able to do that all season.
We all also need to accept that we are miles off the top six in terms of quality. It's sad how crap we are compared to them. Barkley and Lukaku have masked a lot of issues with this team over the past two years.
Why isn't he a dinosaur mate, because he uses stats? is there a manager out there that doesn't these days? has he changed his methods over 20+ years - to my eyes no he hasn't that in effect does make him a dinosaur when those methods are shown to be limited in scope of what you can achieve using them.
Kenny has played at left back this season mate, Martin could indeed be in better physical shape, would expect him to be given he barely breaks out of a jog most games, and as for relatively speaking he's done well, how can you have a player who provides nothing going forward at fullback and who constantly requires help and cover as doing well mate? What sense of relativity are we applying to deem that a success?
Issue isn't being off the top 6 in quality mate, it's more about not even giving them a game, when other teams do who are inferior in quality to us.
