Cal thats the joy of motoring mate I once took my exhurst off a cortina and had it chromed at work it looked great when I put it back on next day some low life had nicked it:lol::lol:

I've had to fork out nearly a grand on this car to fix it (ok i haven't but i have to pay me parents back). Clutch, brake and all that. 1,000 smackers. ffs.

No, I didn't know that. Very handy to know though. Cheers Dom

Cal my biggest mistake was when I was a teenager I got a Ford cortina mark 1 it was two years old and I borrowed the cash to buy it,I also borrowed the cash for tax and insurance and was paying it back then the clutch went I was knackered I could not afford to borrow any more and sold the car for a lot less than I paid and still had my debts to pay so I have been there mate its sods law.today I promised to take my aunt to Blackpool for shopping then a meal then the lights so I load the three mobility scooters in the car then because I had forgot to put the bike baskets in I opened the rear door then there is a lever to open the other one and I pressed it the wrong way and it snapped so I could not open the door and had to wait 2hours for the RAC to come out lucky they fixed it otherwise i would have had another bill purely from trying to do a favour:(

I think my Puma is dying.

Can anyone help me?

Driving into work this morning its starts growling (well not growling, but making a weird noise) and the brakes start to feel weird...the best way i can describe it is 'crunchy'. I was able to stop, but it defo felt like they were about to break. I might not make it home tonight I don't think.

What is happening?

It's figured out that you weigh more than the average hairdresser and is rising up in revolt against you.

Does it make the crunching/grinding sound when you brake, or all the time?

Audi A3 TDi 110 Sport, btw.

Well, the noise happens kind of every so often, and the crunching doesn't happen every time i brake. Just sometimes as well. I've got a 20 minute drive home later...not confident of making it.

(i'm jealous of your Audi aceness).
