Ancelotti has not just instilled a belief in winning, he and the entire management team have started to turn around and improve players that simply were regarded as not good enough by many, including me. How he’s doing it I don’t know but the results and sheer team spirit are there for everyone to see *if they choose*
it took Howard Kendall 3 years to turn around a failing club.
It looks like Carlo Ancelotti will do it in half that time.
But those threads and those people who want Moyes or Martinez etc. Dear God.
We have one of the great managers of all time here. And none of this ‘plucky little Everton’ b**ls any more.

Ancelotti has instilled calm, confidence and belief - it's great. and when anyone plays us, they are playing Ancelotti and James, not just 'plucky little Everton' so our public perception and aura is changing!

Its true, but we will take a chance on managers again, cos obviously we're not always going to have the timing and good luck of Ancelotti calibre managers who are available and interested in the 'project'. However, I just hope that Moshiri & Brands have learned - going from Martinez-Koeman-Allardyce-Silva was just a crazy inconsistent panic-driven process. If we are going for young talented managers, you stick to that, if we are going for world-class managers - do that? We spent enough money on Allardyce-Koeman that we could have afforded an Ancelotti-level manager anyway. It would be nice if after this, we managed to get one of the German young managers. Or if Arteta proves himself at Arsenal (lol) he can step up to Everton

Just a reminder that every other Everton manager failed to win at Anfield since Smith in 1999. Moyes, Martinez, Koeman, Allardyce, Silva, all failed. Every name on there except Moyes failed to even beat Liverpool once and most took heavy beatings.

His coolness and 'Don' aura is just infectious and inspirational. I know Footy is supposed to 'just be a game' but you don't half learn life lessons and attitudes from people like him.

Its utter madness.

Hes whole argument rests on a this high line he imagines Carlo wants to play. Go and look at his Milan team, his Madrid team, his Bayern team, his Napoli team, his Everton team, not 1 of them played a high line.

I get the benefits of playing with a high line, but people ignore the benefits from playing a deep line, ain't nobody getting in round the back and it means other teams push on thus leaving their own space behind.

It was hilarious watching people jump all over Keane for making 1 mistake in the last 16 months, they couldn't wait.

1: Cant play anything but deep. Thats not a "high line" thats being good in a deep defence and nothing else.

2: Keane is at peak value and isnt a top player. Hes also 28 and whilst hes not going to lose pace (never had any) his value will decrease as he gets older and keeping him means keeping him for 4 more seasons.

3: We have 5 defenders. You should always sell to improve the team with higher potential younger players.

4: Mina has 2 years left and ive also said its either him (who i like) or Keane to be sold this summer.

5: Upgrading players is a sign of ambition. Wanting to have the best team with the best players is called ambition. Is he going to be wanted by City, Bayern, Atletico ? No...we want players who are good enough for the top sides.

Dont make me laugh, youve not watched any of those sides regularly, nor PSG, Parma, Juventus...perhaps Chelsea for a short period on MOTD lol

None of those teams were as deep as Ancelotti has set this team up.

What’s it got to do with the Fulham game? We were still utterly crap in that game. They’re two separate games.

There’s nothing wrong with having a moan after getting smacked around by 18th placed Fulham at home. Some do take it too far though and it says it all that some have refused to show their face again after a massive win at the weekend to offer him credit for getting it tactically spot on.

I heard someone say the other day that Mourinho struggles to get things back on track when his teams are having a poor run, that got me thinking, that was the same for Martinez,Koeman and Silva things started to go wrong and it just seemed to get worse and worse they had no idea how to fix it, that’s where Ancelotti is different there’s been a couple of tricky times since he has been here but he has changed slight thinks and things got better, Moyes was god at that to. That’s why I believe Ancelotti is a cut above most of the rest. Even Klopp hasn’t an answer atm. We are blessed to have Carlos here.
