SOME OF THE ANCELOTTI PRE MATCH NORWICH P/C

Morgan Schneiderlin Exit
I can’t talk about the period he spent with me. He had a good period and was injured but when he played he played well.
Everyone in the club is happy for what he did as a professional here. Everyone of us wants to wish him the best.
He had the desire to go back and play in France and we allowed him the possibility. We wish him all the best for the future.

Training Ground Work
We have trained well. The game showed good physical condition. I was a bit surprised!
I’m also sure it will be more difficult the next game that we play tomorrow because we did not have much time to rest.

No Fear
The player does not have fear to play in this period.
They do not like to play without a crowd but the mental aspect
They don’t have a problem like fear.

European Target
It is really important to have a goal to reach. Our goal is to compete until the end of the season and try to climb the table and next season try to play in Europe. This is difficult but the teams above us are not so far away.

Spanish Tax Fraud Claims
It is an ongoing dispute. Lots of players and managers have had the same problem.
I leave it in my lawyers hands. They are the experts. I am not so worried about this.

Norwich Condition
On the tactical aspects it did not change a lot. From the data we have seen the away team has a lot more possibility to compete because the home team loses the support of the crowd.
But after three days it will be difficult to keep the same physical level. Norwich has two more days recovery but fortunately in football there is not only the physical aspect to consider.

Anthony Gordon Selection
The sense of belonging of players to the club is really important.
When I was at Milan they built a fantastic team from the academy.
Gordon has a fantastic sense of belonging like Seamus Coleman and Tom Davies. It is really important.
But I chose Anthony not because he is from the academy but because he was right for the game. This is my job.

Players Fighting for Futures
I think the player has to show quality and character for the shirt they wear every week.
Our captain is a fantastic example of this. [Seamus Coleman] shows all he has for the club and the shirt that he wears.

Norwich Revenge
Tomorrow is a chance to avenge that defeat [at Goodison Park earlier this season].
The players understand we have to play a fantastic game. Norwich are in a difficult position but they want to use the chance against us to gain points.

Manchester City Banner Incident
It is right to condemn this act but it is not a reflection of supporters around the world, not only what the Premier League is doing.
Here at Everton we are giving this campaign [Black Lives Matter] all the support we can.

It is really important for the future for all the world and how we would like to live.
I had a big fight last season in Italy. And when Moise Kean came here the supporters of Everton made a banner to support Moise.
We are trying to do something. That is really important. In 2020 racist abuse is not acceptable.

Summer Changes
We have every single day talked with Marcel Brands about players for the future.
The staff spent time to watch players around the world so we have a clear idea for the market.
In this period we are focused on our game. We are trying to finish well this season and after that we have time.
I’m not so sure about the date but I think the market will be open until October so we have time to talk about the new season.

Leighton Baines Contract
We offer a new contract because Leighton as a professional, player and man is really important for us.
At the end of the season he will decide.

Everton Injury Update
Yerry Mina and Delph are close to coming back but not available for the game tomorrow.
I hope they will be available for the next game.
We had no injury problems for the game against Liverpool so it will be the same squad against Norwich.

Important Focus
It is important for us to be focused. It will be more difficult because the motivation the lesser sides have to give is totally different [to Liverpool at the top of the Premier League]. It is really important to be focused and try to win.”

Away Travel
I think it will be different as it was different against Liverpool.
Everything is new. Against Liverpool it was new, the position of the dressing room, everything is new, but we have to accept this and follow the protocol the Premier League give to us.

Djibril Sidibe Latest
Djibril Sidibe is not available tomorrow. He has a problem on his feet, an inflammation.
I hope he will be ready soon.

European Goal
It is a tournament. We have started well.
We need points to climb the table. Our target is to do all we can to try to play in Europe next season.
It will not be easy but we have to fight for this. It is an important goal for us and the club.”

Youngster Opportunities
We had some injuries and it gave [Gordon, Branthwaite and Baningime] the chance to train with us and play with us.
They are doing well. When you choose substitutes it is difficult to say to the players watch the game in the stand.
It is better they watch from the chance ?, it is a good experience from them. Maybe they will be able to play some part of the games.

Everton manager Carlo Ancelotti: "We had good opportunities to close the game out on the counter but we were in good shape.
What we needed from this game was three points, the three points arrived and now we can dream to climb up the table. The players satisfied me a lot.

Ancelotti: "I am pleased and happy. It was not easy to prepare for this game. We did not have the energy we had against Liverpool

Ancelotti: We need to have a goal to add motivation. It would be a fantastic achievement if we are able to reach Europe

Ancelotti: They are tired now. The physical condition is really good. In these two games we didn't have any injured players

Was that Leighton Baines’ farewell appearance today
No, I think the situation of Leighton is clear. Everyone wants Leighton to stay another season.
We are waiting for his answer and I hope he will say yes.

Martina and Niasse
Carlo Ancelotti expects Everton to make an announcement on the future of Cuco Martina and Oumar Niasse tomorrow.

Life's never so simple, but I'm getting carried away anyway. Carol's away record suggest we will definitely win at least 8 away games next year. Rekon two draws as well. And then 10 wins at home minimum. Sound.
