Too patient:
18 months into the Martinez three years - just 6 months after the best season we've had in the PL era - there was a movement to get Martinez out.
Silva: the end of last season everyone was content we were moving in the right direction - then the "Director" of Football sells the feller's best defensive player, fails to get his best CB secured, and buys a load of crocks and Silva is hounded out.
Do me a favour on the 'too patient' stuff.
Since Moyes left there has been a Geordiefication of the fanbase.
We wasn’t ever going in the right direction under Silva, a couple of wins against big clubs at home who were in their own mini crises papered over the cracks, Silva was a dud and how he got away with 3 league wins in 17 was mind boggling.
Martinez was dire, you have a well established blind spot for him, so there’s no point me pointing out how crap he was, but he got a season too long, make no mistake about that.
Leicester sack Puel for sitting in 11th, we kept giving Silva time to turn it round while we sat 16th and the fans who wanted him gone are accused of impatience, unbelievable!
