Captain my Captain

With Coleman essentially a bit player, James Tarkowski has become the de facto captain of our beloved blues. Aside from his game play, I believe Tarko’s leadership and mentality is not strong enough for his role. His latest antics against Forest is just another example of dodgy reckless decisions that threaten results.

Is it time to make a change?

Who would you select? Is it time for Pickford to be given the arm-band?
Think he's a natural leader and well liked by the other players. I'd say a game where he showed aggression and made a goal-saving clearance on the line was a pretty good one overall. Some of the best captains I can think of were the most aggressive players in the team.

Dunno but maybe we should leave it to the manager and coaches to decide these things , they somehow seem to have a good understanding of these things, maybe they see them in training , how players react to them etc .
I’d be absolutely horrified if anyone in charge took seriously many of the opinions on this forum (including my own)

Agreed. Think Tarks does a good job on the pitch as captain. He does run the line fairly regularly with some of his antics though, but seems to get away with it even though I do think he was a little fortunate on Sat.

I think he becomes club captain next season with someone like Branthwaite or KDH taking on the vice captaincy with a view to full captaincy the following season.
