Cancelling this season's Premier League

Should football be canceled until August and this season declared null and void?

So it the possibility of such a season structure, at least in England. It was just a hypothetical. But in terms of probability, a 9-0 or 0-9 split is 1 in 1,024; that of a 5-4 or 4-5 split is 126/1024.
9-0 is 1 in 512.

One team being 5-4 (or 4-5) is 126/512
5 teams being 5-4 and 5 teams being 4-5 is many times smaller than 126/512.

Realistically playing
7 FA Cup games
11 Champions League games (No 2nd Legs)
15 Europa League games (No 2nd Legs)

OR

Play 92 games of the League with Sky/BT happy to payout monies owed to Premiership clubs based on their "current" position and EFL clubs being pushed further and further under financial pressure not to mention the PFA and players disagreement over pay plus out of contract players. OH and I forgot, a fatal PANDEMIC which is currently killing over 800 people a day and tearing the NHS apart.

My bad. I used 2 to the 10th power, when it should have been 2 to the 9th. And I was only calculating one team's probabilities, not all 10.
Anyway, this is all academic -- just void this season and start next season when possible. And there has been a precedent for an unbalanced second part in the Scottish Premier League, which splits after 33 games. There was one season where Rangers, I think, got to play another top-six team three times at Ibrox in order to get an 18-18 home-away total.

I know.

So bin off the League Cup and FA Cup plus the international breaks. That would leave 19 weeks minimum for a 38-game season (games Wednesdays and Sat/Sun). If you start the season on New Year's Day, you finish mid-May. Obviously, an earlier start would be preferable and a later start would bollocks the whole thing up. Of course, there could be a solution to that as well -- play 19 games, then split the league into two, with each group playing another nine games (and getting the reverse fixture of the one played in the first round, so a team would have 10 home and 9 away in the first part, 4 home and five away in the second and vice versa, meaning all 20 teams would have 14 home and 14 away games). Not perfect, but it would be a lot fairer than just a 19-game season.
Or rather than complicate it too much, just bin off the league and focus on the cup competitions and internationals?
However, money won't let that happen

We have no idea whether the TV companies want their money back or not yet.

Just cos a few journos think they are gonna kiss goodbye to 720m it doesnt make it true.

But its not just the TV companies most clubs have to worry about.

Heres an example of how many people United need to worry about.

This season will be finished.

So what about next season?

People saying just bin the cup competitions next year? Thats a yearly lifeline for lower league clubs who have already been screwed this season, we cant just bin a competition because its inconveniencing the PL - football doesnt revolve around the PL.

Another thing is, if we do insist on finishing the season, I note all talk is about the league. The FA cup also needs finishing, thats another 3 games. I dont hear anyone screaming about integrity of a competition here. Then you have the EL and CL games left, but again nobody is screaming about this, its funny how Liverpool are out of these competitions.

Even without fans etc, thats a lot of resources for about 100 games to be played - thats a huge amount of people coming into contact in a short space of time

100% the driving force behind the season going ahead is LFC nothing else.

Kabaddi! lol

My grandad used to love watching that when it used to be on regular tele (Think it was Channel 4)

He didn’t enjoy the sport, he just found it hillarious and would sit through the whole 30 minute show cackling like a schoolboy lol

It's basically bulldog with added breathing exercises. Crazy game. You could watch it on Channel 4 in the 80s at about 6am... before the Aussie Rules and Transworld sport.

So what about this idea of a end of league at Wembley staging all the games that are left , some 4games a day behind closed doors. Is this feasible?
