Can you name the line up for your first match?

Couldn't even remember the year! Second leg of the league cup at Fratton Park, drew 1-1 on the night but went out on aggregate. Bit of interweb research later;
Southall
Hinchcliffe
Watson
Burrows
Unsworth
Snodin
Stuart
Parkinson
Samways
Amokachi
Ferguson

I think this was it. The fella most able to confirm is no longer with us.

Also fair play to those of you posting line ups from the grim days of the 90's and early 00's. We sure had some garbage turning out then.

Wright, Hibbert, Weir, Yobo, Unsworth, Carsley, Tie, Gravesen, Pembridge, Campbell, Radzinski

How far we've come since those dark days

Man city at home 93. We won 1-0. Total guess on the 11. Would have been something like

Southall
Jackson
Abblett
Watson
Snods
Ward
Beagrie
ebbo
Horne
Rideout
Cottee

Gordon West
Alex Parker
Brian Labone
Sandy Brown
Tony Kay
Jimmy Gabriel
Derek Temple
Alex Scott
Alex Young
Jimmy Hill
Dennis Stevens

Burnley at home 1963. Lost 4-3. I had to Google the team. To be honest, I've never heard of a Jimmy Hill playing for us. Apparently he was from Northern Ireland and only played 7 games.

FA Cup 3rd round Jan 75. 7 years old, duffle coat and best Birmingham bags to see Everton draw 1-1 with Altrincham. Can't remember very much except I think it was foggy and I was amazed at the size of the place when I got inside.

Just had to look this up-

Dai Davis
Mick Lyons
Ken McNaught
John McLaughlin (can't remember him)
Dave Clements (scored)
Mike Bernard
John Connolly
David Irving (can't remember him either)
Bob Latchford
Jim Pearson
Gary Jones

Match report says Connolly broke his leg and was replaced by George Telfer and it was Ken McNaught's debut. Won the replay at OT but was way too young to go.
