I think we will need 4 points from Man City and Liverpool to have a chance.
Logic would say no. We are level on points with Leicester who have a game in hand and a vastly superior goal difference and we are 3 points behind Burnley who have a game in hand a vastly superior goal difference.
Our only saving grace is that Leicester put all of their eggs into the replay against Chelsea (if they lose maybe it will crack their confidence, if they win maybe the players will save themselves for the semi final) and we've seen Burnley have a wretched run of form prior to the game against us (before we gave them a massive helping hand) so maybe they might go on another bleak run but their home record suggests they'll get enough points to keep us at arms length.
As for whether I'd want Europe League or not, I absolutely would. It's our best chance at getting Champions League, the Top 6 look like they are hear to stay unfortunately. Their squads are so strong and to finish ahead of any of them over a 38 game league season is a mighty tough ask.
Most of the fan base are agreed that a squad overhaul is required too and being part of Europe helps in this regard. A new manager will need to ensure that our team and also our bench are strong enough to compete. Being out of Europe might convince our board to keep several of our current squad players around as they won't be needed as much next season which would be very depressing. We need a lot of incomings over Summer from top to bottom in this squad.
When would it even start? I've been trying to figure this out because of the World Cup.
July 26th EL Q2 1st leg

Agreed. Usually I’d want European Football but as you say the squad needs gutting and plus it’d increase the chances of Sam being here next season.I really wouldn’t take European footy
The team needs a massive overhaul
