Alright, so...

quick question....why the hell is a barren ugly Island in the South Atlantic soooooo important to British chest beaters again??????

Oil.

But it's been ours since before the automobile, plastics and all other oil-things were developed over 130 years ago.

Thats the crux of it.

They just ignore the British descendent population fishing and farming the territorial waters around it though.......

Inconvenient truth.

They're British.

Well if its for Oil, it's ok.

Black Gold. Texas Tea.

just the same as if the koreans or any other asians invade your place mate..... that bit of orange grit.... that there is a sovereignty, defend and irradicate the invaders.

someone in oz once said "you reckon ? the yanks have bases here, they'd push you lot aside" well I'll say what I said to them, "so would you want the u.s to come and destroy your landscape and probably fail, or would you want a proffesional job done?"

Hey we just back up whatever Superpower gets into a scrape, and always have.

First name on the team sheet is always Australia, look it up.

Yes, the fact that you look well harder with us standing behind you...otherwise even the Indians who don't even fight beat the snot out of you

From the UK (via airbridge....They practice it from time to time ...they can deploy an entire combat ready Infantry Battalion to the Falklands within 24 hours)....They can deploy additional fighters/ground attack aircraft within 8 hours, via Ascension island, and air-air re-fulling.

Forces in theatre
- Resident infantry company based down there (bout 200 Men strong).
- and the locals have their own defense force (bout 250 strong)
- 6 x Tornado F3 air-air fighters
- 1 x Sqn RAF regiment (bout 200 strong)
- 2 x Air defense squadrons (Rapier batteries)
- RAF search and rescue sqn (2 Sea-Kings)
- RN Frigate patrolling off-shore
- RN supply vessel
- -Plus 600 assorted military engineers/communications specialist/cooks -(The cooks are nails....and are often seen scrapping behind the mess coz somebody critised their food)

- I reckon theres also an attack sub patrolling the waters as well

so all in all the argies have no chance...especially when they come up against the cooks - they'd get battered, cooked and served up for lunch!

Mutz. The F3's have been replaced by 4 Typhoons.
