We could easily end up with a war over this; or at least another 'conflict'.

Amidst a recession, and with a navy cut down to nothing I wonder if we'll bother once Argentina starts sabre rattling - (on the grounds of sovereignty, not oil. honest.) I suppose it depends on the size of the deposits.

Well if Cameron gets a majority I'm sure they'll be up for it. Never knowingly back down from a fight they can win the Tories.

Few of their sons will be on the front line though.

Some things never change, those who would send our children to war will never put themselves in harms way. Too busy looking for the profit.

It won't ever come to it....Argentina knows we can re-inforce those islands within 24 hours....They will try the diplomatic moaning approach, to no avail....shame, they are nice people really, and the ladies are especially pretty in Buenos Aires...they just have this hang-up about that god-forsaken group of rocks....

Get over it....they're ours (we stole them first)

Wars make money. Just ask the Bush Clan.

Wars like their victims young just ask my cousins wife....Sorry but this is a sore subject. . Admittedly they are ours and we must defend them but..................fingers crossed it wont come to that.

I think the point the gentleman was trying to make was to "Blame America" Leave all that smart thinking at the doorstep..

Certainly hope not, Britain is in the right legally but more importantly the people who live their want to be under Britain. Not Argentina. Besides Argentina only kicked off because of their leaders approval polls went down due to economics, so as she mentions it they went up again. And for God sake don't listen to that Chavez, guy tallks more crap then your average kopite. Madman.

America has your back regardless of our stance during the last war... It's a new world we live in, and the yanks dont give a sh1te about right or wrong... we just have an itch to fight smaller weaker countries in preperation for the big ones..

The next theatre could be in South America. The Argies know better and there economy couldn't sustain a proactive war. Chavez is a big blow hard. Reminds me of a character named Hussein........... Now what ever became of him?
