Well, I know it can be done ... but what do you guys think.
Obviously, we can catch Villa. I want to know if anyone thinks we can catch Aresnal?

Aresnal's run-in (points gained)
vs. Boro (3)
at Portsmouth (3)
vs. Chelsea (0)
at Man. United (0)
vs. Stoke (3)
-- I've got 'em with 9 points, 11-12 at the most given a pair of draws or one win vs. ManU or Chelsea.

Everton's run-in (points gained)
vs. Man City (3)
at Sunderland (3)
vs. Spurs (3)
vs. West Ham (3)
at Fulham (3)
-- OK, yeah, I booked 'em all as wins. But we need results if we're going to catch Gunners

Basically, I think we've got a better schedule going in (not to mention they still have champions league fixtures to deal with).

Does anything else think we can get 13-15 points from the final five matches? It would still leave us short, I know, but maybe Arsenal would stumble?

I think we can still get CL.

Not really mate id be made up we passed the 60 point barrier.
 
Yeah ... sigh ... I know. I'm just feeling hopeful tonight I guess. (just watched the shoot-out on DRV for the fourth time tonight).
 
if we were to win all our remaining matches & arsenal only drew theirs we would end up 1 point ahead - i can't see it happening somehow.
 
I gave up on catching Arsenal about 2 weeks ago. It won't happen, mate. I would love your optimism to be proved well founded, though. (y)

Yeah, i gave up on catching Arsenal a couple of weeks back myself. I firmly believe that Champions League football is not for us just yet, we would have to add some substantial strength to the current squad in both quality and numbers. I am quite content to winning the FA Cup and finishing in 5th considering the start to the season we had. A Europa League Final next season, improving our League position and then we may just be ready to take on Europe's Elite.
 
I would have never thought we would be where we are at the moment. I'm still praying that we get that 4th spot, but it looks very unlikely. I'll be very happy with 5th place. I remember last year we were in a similiar situation and then we had a dip in form during the last run of games.

Is Fulham seriously are last game? :dodgy:
 
Nah . We wont . No matter though . Little steps . The more of this year we see the more it reminds me of 84 . Instead of Kevin Brock , we had Ashley Young . From that moment on , our season , indeed , possibly our history has taken a new direction . If I wasnt such a pessimistic fuka , I might even dare to dream .
 

Up until we blew it against Villa I would have said yes.

Still, all in all, been a good season though.

Injuries have killed us, time for the "what if" scenarios
