Had the radio on in the kitchen whilst dishing the tea out at quarter to five. There was a blert of a caller still going on about it
Not sure many of us noticed but Seamus gave Terry a big shove after this incident. I thought immediately "good lad!".
Isn't Graham Poll the one who gave 3 yellow cards in England vs Portugal game in 2006 was it?
As for the accusation. It's ridiculous!
Australia vs Croatia. Three card trick Poll. That was a tough game to ref though, lots of emotion there.
... and what about this earlier in the match?

I'm so glad someone else is bringing this up. I was going nuts over here since that was 1 of THREE two footed tackles IN A ROW from Chelsea (its around the 30-31 minute) then the ball gets played out, Neville runs into Drogba harmlessly (though it was a foul) and he gets the yellow card. Give me a break.
On the subject of the thread though, Cahill pushed the limit with his tackle and I think the ref handled it fairly. Cahill clearly does NOT extend his leg out (in fact kinda pulls it back at the last second). He just leaves enough in to let Cech know he'll have to earn his money.
And it is worth noting that he is running full speed, with a **** chasing him full speed, and Cech running full speed toward him, everyone's eyes are on the ball, not carefully evaluating distances between each other. and if that weren't enough, Terry pushes him over/off-balance at the last second. Even if Cahill had measured the challenge perfectly, Terry's push clearly knocked him off his track ever so slightly - but that ever so slightly can be the difference in hitting or just missing cech. Cahill went in for a hard challenge, and didn't get the ball, did get the other player, and should have been called for a foul and given a yellow. A red would have been extra harsh (but I've seen us get called for worse).
The way I saw it, Cahill and Terry running alongside each other to get it and Terry leans across Cahill and slows down. Sort of a clothesline move, so Cahill falls backwards with his feet going forward. I blame Terry, past it cnut.
