Cahill on Cech

But weren't you saying yesterday that Neville should of done exactlty what a Chelsea player would of done, and thats made the most of Maloudas pretend slap and tried to get him sent off?

Thinking about it now, you could argue Neville stopped Chelsea from going down to 10 men, and he gave them their goal.

How about that for a counter-productive performance!? :P

Ball was there to be won, Cahill had every right to go for it. Just seems no one can challenge Cech now without there being an uproar. Thing is, once you go for a loose ball, you can not just suddenly stop yourself once the ball is collected by the keeper so a collision is bound to happen.

The [Poor language removed] small time media like talksport regularly fap over Chelsea, you must never taint the object of their fap.

Same as the penalty, I know Moyes said he'd want it given but Anelka made a bee line for Howard. Weird.

It wasnt intentional even though he caught him late, considering what Jara did and the reaction of some of the Chelsea players yesterday its farcical.

Nothing will happen though as the ref saw it. Cahill is the master of pushing it to the limit.

Tim could knock someone out in front of the ref, jump up and down on the feller's head and still get no card. It's incredible. The lad lives a charmed existence.

Not sure many of us noticed but Seamus gave Terry a big shove after this incident. I thought immediately "good lad!".

I mentioned this in the match thread. The way he trots up 10minutes later and the first thing he does is push Terry was comical...Terry went ape [Poor language removed] haha. Think Coleman got booked for that.

As for Cech...I also said in the match thread...if that's any other keeper, its an accident. Because its Cech, its as though that helmet he wears is there just to keep his cranium from exploding because if anyone touches it, it will blow.

Load of [Poor language removed] to be fair. If the ball wasnt there to be one, how come Terry was scrambling to block Cahill? Fair challenge, caught him late with the stub of his boot. Dont even think he got booked for it either.

Just read this on the Everton BBC 606 page-

"Ex referee Graham Poll on Talk Sport accused Tim Cahill of deliberately attempting to injure
Petr Cech . DJ Mick Quinn agreed"

WTF ! Why don't they just wrap Cech up in bubblewrap ? Or dress him in one of those cushioned sumo outfits

Isn't Graham Poll the one who gave 3 yellow cards in England vs Portugal game in 2006 was it?

As for the accusation. It's ridiculous!

Yeah me too. Put the dirty rat back in his place.

He tries to kick off with the chelsea lot holding him.... except Jacks got Terry in a wrestling hold that Cena would be proud of!

The way I saw it, Cahill and Terry running alongside each other to get it and Terry leans across Cahill and slows down. Sort of a clothesline move, so Cahill falls backwards with his feet going forward. I blame Terry, past it cnut.

So the ball was near Cechs head then was it?

He came out, collected the ball then Cahill stuck his leg out and caught Cech in the head. Given his history of bad challenges casuing head injuries its no surprise people weren't happy with Cahill. The ball was never there to be won when he actually stuck his leg out.

If it had been Drogba on Howard things would be different.

Sure i don't think he deliberalty kicked him with the intention to hurt Cech, but not exactly a fair challenge either.

if it had been drogba on howard, howard wouldn't have flinched and they would have just commented on how brave the keeper was for going in like that, thats what they say for most keepers that the media doesn't worship

I'm thinking along those lines. Any other keeper and it would have been a nothing incident. As Moyes implied, Is Tim supposed to think who the goalie is before going for it. Cech isn't in any more danger than other keepers because of what happened to him. And if he is, he should retire.
And Graham Poll should be charged with slander. Who the fcuk does he think he is.

I felt that it was a tough challenge, and as seeing as Hunt has already smashed his head in once I can see why its been an over-enthusiastic response.

But Cahill went in for a ball that was his to contend for.

Lowering your shoulder into the keeper like its the NFL, foul on Timmy H. Grazing the keeper with your studs because the keeper is soft and hesitated b/c he wanted to avoid any kind of contact.......SUSPEND CAHILL FOR A MONTH THAT DIRTY S$$$!!!!
