My #1 reason for wanting Europe.

Give me a 2pm on a Sunday every single time over a midweek game.

When’s the latest date that the Sunderland fixture can be revised? Got two Dutch mates who need to book flights etc - they’ve had a season ticket between them for nigh on 20 years and were regularly at Goodison but due to all the fixture changes haven’t used it yet at HDS. they were panning on the City game but that’s just been changed and Sunderland is their only option.

I booked a break in Croatia around the City fixture last week and they’ve changed that now so I’m missing it ffs. I’d missed about 2-3 home games in nearly 40 years up until this season by chopping and changing flights for my work which is a lot of overseas travel, and this year I’ve missed 3 already due to the frigging changes and now missing City.
It’s becoming a shambles the fixture changes. Football is really wearing thin.

Don’t think it was “chosen” for that date, it was just a coincidence

I'll be renewing but if this carries on next season I'll be jacking it, 3 Saturday 3pm ko's is beyond belief.

Its sport ffs, it was scheduled at that time for a reason - so fans can finish work and go the game, not plan a massive logistical exercise and take time off to do it.

Oh, it's still scheduled at this time for a reason - so fans can luxuriate in their armchairs or in international public houses knowing Monday night football gets their week off to a great start.

Matchgoing fans are mere cinematography, background detail of the big televisual event, privileged extras in the great show. The real audience is at home. Fans are now simply props. People need to remember that when they buy their season tickets.
