It's the age of skinny jeans, dark fruits, vape pens and lads who can listen to a full Kasabian album without wanting to perforate their own eardrums.

The gene pool in this country is border line sterile at this point.
They would be Googling 'how to beat a German soldier' now, as soon as 4G signal goes they are out of ideas.

The thing is in 100 years time humans may look back at how we slaughter vulnerable animals for sport, how we cook dogs alive to increase the taste of their flesh etc and how livestock is treated across the world without a second glance so long as the food is tasty on the plate as being primitive and abhorrent (which they are right however it still goes on today doesnt it).

First of all, you eat dogs? And you cook them alive? That's definitely not a "societal norm".

Just like your other post, you're in the territory of comparing colonized and enslaved peoples to livestock. Yes, that's how they're treated. However, think that one day a cow will be viewed on the same level as a human is just insane and departing reality to justify your interpretation of history.

Shows your level of knowledge that you dont realise that certain Asian countries eat dogs - its a societal norm to them but to us its abhorrent.

Right and Wrong are constructs of whatever society you live in - if it wasnt the age of consent for example would be the same in every country but it isnt.

Being homosexual was actually a crime and seen as being abnormal not so long ago now in most nations its perfectly normal.

Same way hundreds of years ago invading nations for resources was not frowned upon in the same way it would be today - you could argue all day on the rights and wrongs and positives and negatives of it but doing so you are basing it off the values and societal norms you hold and have been brought up with in todays world.

So will all the despots and dictators be viewed in a different light given that one day medicine will effectively cull certain genetic abnormalities or traits that are not what is wanted by society at the time .

People love to feel ashamed about this sort of thing. We did this, we did that. Didn't we treat black people badly, making them slaves.
Wtf is WE? I can't trace my family tree too far but I'm guessing my family were dockers, factory workers, farmers, mill workers, coal miners etc. They were probably living in poverty in a slum somewhere like most of the population.
If you want to point the finger do it at the establishment. They were responsible for it, they profited from it, not me and not my ancestors.

The city we all love was built on slavery. Unfortunately most of our ancestors were complicit in the slave trade one way or another. Acceptance is the first step towards healing Walter.

I feel sorry for you that you believe that. Good luck with your healing and I hope one day you can be at peace with it all.

One mans terrorist leader is another mans president of cyprus or kenya or where ever...eventually...allegedly.

How many people are there who, when they trace their ancestors, find that they were in fact immigrants from another country? Another country even that had been invaded/colonised by the English (who were for the most part descended from invaders/immigrants from other countries)? So how far back do you go to start pointing the finger of blame at "the Establishment"? It's futile even trying to pin the "blame" on anybody.
