Only if you insist, but you have to admit that the one you have posted doesn't really support the idea that there's loads of nutcases out there who believe that the revival of the "British Empire" is even a remote possibility. I mean you can find loads of people who actually believe that the world is flat, and post videos on Youtube that "prove" it :coffee:
There was a poll done last year where 16% of remain voters and 39% of leave voters wanted the empire back

You can be nostalgic for something without wanting it back, like an ex girlfriend you wouldn't look twice at today, but who was the love of your life at the time.

I don't know if you read the whole article, but it referenced Britain's part in the Transatlantic slave trade without bothering to mention that it was Britain that ended it with force, or that slavery is still practiced in many parts of the world today. In fact it's very easy to point to the British Empire as the cause of slavery (it wasn't) while ignoring the part many countries/peoples/tribes in Africa and the Middle East took in starting and facilitating that trade.

Yes I read it. And there is a poll there that clearly states the percentages I mentioned above that want the empire back, rather than just being nostalgic for it. It's pretty clear there. You now seem to be moving the argument to the slave trade which was never mentioned in any of my posts.

The question put was "Would you like Britain to still have an Empire?" not "Do you want the British Empire back?" and even then there is a clear majority against an Empire.

I only mentioned the slave trade because it was in the article you posted, not to change the subject.

True but ‘A third of British people (34%) also say they would like it if Britain still had an empire.‘
Which is only nostalgic, its 1910, all is right with the world*
*as long as you're not poor, but that applies to anywhere and anywhen...
and the next 110yrs hasn't happened yet and ignorance is bliss.
