an away game should not be treated the same as a home game

we are not even playing the same team as last week

obv form players should stay in , but we should be flexible (like every other team are) in choosing the right personel for the right opponents

people saying 'play da same team init' don't understand how football works

Last weeks team are the form players...

Brighton are favorites in this match. Our away form is not good, but fortunately Brighton has not been very good at home either. This gives us hope. Both teams have underperformed according to Xg stats. When I take this into account in my little amateur analysis, Brighton gets a winning probability of 43%, while Everton gets a 36% winning chance.

Either way, Brighton is flexible. They have so far played in a 3-5-2 / 5-3-2 and 4-4-2 formation. In recent matches they have played in a 4-4-2 formation. They have a good build-up play and enjoy playing the ball along the ground. They are even more concerned with ball possession than us, and rarely resort to long balls. Dan Burn is a player we need to put pressure on Brighton's build-up play, while Pascal Gross is the creative force for Brighton. Graham Potter has made this a solid team in a short time, which also plays great football.

When it comes to Everton, Silva has no choice but to start with the same players as the previous match.

Sounds plausible but stats do not really bear this out. Everton lead the table with accurate long passes. 4-2-3-1 is essentially defensive and the long ball outlet might exploit Brighton pushing forward too much. Not a home banker.

Brighton's strength is playing out of the press which gives them a top half of the table passing %. Not averse to playing long passes either, but lacking real dangerous pace up front. Brighton are a side in transition with new players with hardly any PL experience. All in all it makes them unpredictable.

You're spot on. Tweaks should be implemented to tailor our side / tactics to the opposition.

Brighton are at home so I'd be amazed if Delph doesn't come in for Davies to give more protection to the back four. I wouldn't advocate someone sat in front of the back 4 like Schneiderlin but having something a bit more solid at CM next to Gomes would be a wise move in my opinion.
