Brentford

Remember when Leicester were the example of a well run club...….very hard for those clubs to sustain.

What they do would never work here, but they really maximise their profiles in the food chain.
Yeah Leicester looked well-run because they made a lot of good signings, but under the surface they were mismanaging their finances. Brentford might well go down at some point, but that wouldn't make them badly-run necessarily, as long as they're managing their finances well and give themselves a chance of bouncing back.

Is there inevitably always a Brentford though mate, teams that come up from be,ow who just inhabit the mid table space for a period of time but inevitably can’t sustain it, Blackburn, Middlesbourgh, Charlton, Stoke, Swansea, Portsmouth, Leicester, Brighton, Brentford.

There is arguement it’s cyclical for clubs that size IMO, the margin for ever is very narrow for clubs that size. Also inevitable that one or two clubs of that profile will do well in the PL at any one time.

The amount of trophies won by the clubs above beats ours - yet we have been run into the ground, made awful decisions and still had a huge margin for error as a big club.

It’s an interesting concept, even if I’m waffling, which I prob am!

Haha no not all mate, all fair points. Will be interesting to see how Brighton and Brentford get on long-term and whether they'll end up in the same bracket as those other clubs.
