Brands on Lozano and Bergwijn

He scored 5 goals Zat, and after a good start he quickly faded away ( I know it was because he had played a load of footy) all about opinions though, you thought he didn’t have a bad season (did you watch him for the season when he was at Watford?) the way I read it when we were looking at him before we signed him he had for the majority of the season been poor.

I’m suprised zat manages to watch any prem footy to be honest , he watches every European team from U12 right though to U21

Dutch gold again tonight
How dare you suggest our Marcel is into BDSM
Just because he’s Dutch and looks like a porn star you’ve no right to besmirch the mans character lol

Nah, If he was doing porn he would look like this.

I'm not sure signing players for potential commercial reasons really works out, unless they are a global mega star that transcends the sport, like Beckham was. I can't honestly believe loads of people in Mexico would become Everton fans, just because we sign a Mexican player, they will still support the established European teams; Real Madrid, Barcelona, etc
You might be surprised. They will certainly buy a few more kits. It’ll certainly give us attention. He’s their best player, so it’s not like he’s some random player or anything. Plenty of people in the US will watch Dortmund if they are on due to Pulisic. It might not be an immediate payoff, but the opportunity is there.

Not a reason to buy him, but an added bonus for sure.

...Bergwijn looks a very similar type to Lookman and not the out and out striker we probably need. From what I can see, his goal scoring statistics are not the best.

Lozano looks much more suited to our needs given he would offer right sided competition for Walcott and scores goals from out wide.

Bergwijn has 8 goals in 15 games as a wide forward, Lozano has 10 in 16.

Pretty close.

I find it very interesting that Brands mentioned both of them by name. I cant see any reason why he would say they are overpriced unless we were interested...its disrespectful to the players and PSV.

Competition for Walcott? A scarecrow offers competition for Walcott. He’s done nothing since 3rd game of the season.

...the point i’m making is that Walcott hasn’t got a lot of competition, given Bernard, Lookman and Richarlison’s preference for the left side. Silva says he wants competition for every position, if Lozano is a true target then I would hope he would come straight into the team.

Sadly this is not true, its a common myth that Zat watches loads of football.

He gets all the player names from media stories, he very rarely has seen the players he suggests actually play football, I would go as far as to suggest he hasnt watched a single 1.
