Boxing

I know a lot of boxing fans don't like the UFC, but if the matchmaking was the same we'd have seen Brook vs Khan, Canelo vs Golovkin and Kovalev vs Ward by now.

Joshua fighting Breazeale is the perfect example of why boxing is being ruined. Good job for Eddie Hearn there's a nation of 16-30 year old mugs who'd buy a PPV with David Price vs Audley Harrison as the only fight on the card if he told them to.
nothing wrong with the fight unless you want him to stay inactive

Povetkin v wilder so both a no go

Klitschko v fury so both a no go

Haye fighting same night as wilder

Parker v takam so both a no go

Chisora v pulev as well .

Only Ortiz left who is a real upgrade on this fight .

Don't forget it's only his 17th fight . Dillian whyte is his toughest fight so far .

Though I agree ufc match making is far superior and this fight isn't PPV.

The issue is about it being yet another PPV that won't go past two rounds. Looking forward to the groves Murray fight but I think the card needs another on that level to make it worth buying.

No doubt it will be bought in ours, AJ fights are the only ones I don't get moaned at by my bird for paying for, weird eh?

I agree regarding it being PPV but why do you think Hearn paid Martin so much money to come over ? He doesn't do it for any other fighters. That Charles Martin fee will be a profit by the time 25th June comes around . Joshua is box office against anyone now and no one will argue now he is 'world champion' but this is an easy fight but the reality is its his 17th fight so still a good one at this stage of his career . That IBF belt is a cash cow for Hearn more than anything .

My problem will be that Hearn will probably throw him in with this level of opponent for a few fights rather than step up . And not forgetting the famously bad IBF mandatorys.

Not sure if it's a final eliminator but assuming Parker beats Takam that should be a half decent fight for a "mandatory" defence. Better than Martin & Breazale (sp) anyway

take a look at the IBF's top 15 mate, it was a clever strategic move by hearn, he's got him a strap and can still move him on slowly, at least for another year

I've asked a few of the lads on here, but think most of us have only read about Parker, what are your thoughts on him Joey?

I must confess I've only seen the highlight reels but he seems to be highly rated.

Im just glad there appears to be a lot of good match ups than can be made in the division in the coming years. I cant see them happening until next year though.

What's the deal with Jennings? I know Ortiz flattened him but that must have been 6 months ago now. Is he recovering from a bad concussion, injured, just inactive?

Joshua Vs Parker would be good after this, I'd favour Joshua but Parker can bang too and would definitely be a live underdog, not like this brezeale feller.

Hearn has the casuals wrapped around his little finger hasn't he, can't blame him taking advantage of stupid people. I won't be buying the ppv and AJ is the definition of a paper champion.

Why is casuals used in a derogatory fashion and why are they stupid?

They just like to see a British heavyweight knocking people out. The market dictates whether it should be ppv or not and id hazard a guess that everyone of Joshua's fights will be from now on regardless of opponent.

What's more stupid, people paying for something because they simply want to watch it or a "non casual" cutting his nose off to spite his face?

casuals are naive because the way sky hype these ppv events up they always make the fighters appear better than they are .
