Always fights like that but makes it easier with Warrington struggling to break an egg with a punch.Does wood always fight with his hands by his side or is it just cos Warrington doesn't have much power?
Yep, an effective performance from Wood but not a great spectacle. Pretty boring.meh. tap dance.

The outrage over this has been mad. Don’t think I’ve seen a reaction like this after a fighter signing for another promoter. Have you?
Understand the shock to it but let’s not pretend Hearn hasn’t brushed a lot of fighters off after they haven’t earned what he was expecting them too. Joe Cordina comes to mind in recent events. Basically said he’s not worth what he wants and won’t be offering more money.

Defo not, but I've also never seen a promoter go above and beyond for a fighter, when the public was so against them. Hearn fronting up the failed drugs case for 2 years, always banging on about loyalty, how close they are, they're family and all that Essex crap. It was as bad as he is with Joshua but you can understand the Joshua sucking up a lot more.
I'm a bit suspicious over the one fight deal. If Benn stays in the Matchroom Gym then something stinks imo. If he stays there I'd expect him to return to Matchroom after the one fight, they will already have the script ready about how the prodigal son return, Dana isn't my family, Zuffa was an affair and Matchroom is a marriage and all that jazz.
The first one that sprung to my mind that Hearn bigged up as the bnext big thing but dumped after a defeat or two was the Hearn proclaimed "Geordie Golovkin. It didn't take too long to dump Ritson and stick him in the away corner. Josh Kelly as well, he couldn't wait to get rid after Avanesyan battered him. The "Scouse Lomachenko" will be next after McGrail's contract expires. Fighters have done the dirty on their promoters to join Hearn as well. Jamie McDonnell after Hobson done wonders for him, I couldn't believe when Warrington left Warren to go back to Hearn after Warren delivered everything Hearn couldn't and more recently Ben Whittaker, when Hearn and Frank Smith went on to every media platform for weeks to rub Shalom's nose in it.
The victim mentality from Hearn over this is off the charts![]()
Well, as if it was required, yet another reason to dislike that twit*.He’s not bothered about loyalty to the public when he promotes shows in the UK but registered his business and home in Monaco so he didn’t have to pay tax. Loyalty works both ways in life, just suprised by the reaction of it all.
He’s the best promoter in the game but as a person, wouldn’t trust him.Well, as if it was required, yet another reason to dislike that twit*.
That's not how I remember it, and I've just looked it up and I couldn't find anything to support it. They seemed to have a disagreement over his next opponent. I remember saying after his first fight back with Matchroom that it worked out well for him as he suffered defeat to Lara in it. No one knew Lara here but Hearn was promoting in Mexico at the time, I had a feeling Hearn thought Lara would have his number and put them in together to get him back for leaving for Warren, I'm a bit suspicious like that with these promoters. He had 5 fights with Warren who delivered Elland Road and a World Title for him, basically what Hearn told him he would get him and couldn't deliver.I totally get the outrage over Benn leaving, you’re right about Hearn and the match room cheerleaders defending him over his drugs cheating situation. It’s gotta be difficult after backing him publicly so much. It does feel very scripted and like the WWE. It’s just a bit of a shock the way everyone has reacted. Wasn’t expecting the response from people in boxing and the public.
Josh Warrington went back to Hearn because Warren, Queensbury and BT didn’t pay him on time. It was only a 2/3 fight deal with Warren and the money offered for the Selby and Frampton fights were massive but took a long time to get the money. Warrington camp wasn’t happy with it. Pretty sure the was an issue with tickets where Warrington got fleeced.
You’re right though. I’m sure Hearn wasn’t worried about loyalty when he was having an affair with one of his fighters behind his wife’s back. He’s not bothered about loyalty to the public when he promotes shows in the UK but registered his business and home in Monaco so he didn’t have to pay tax. Loyalty works both ways in life, just suprised by the reaction of it all.
Really? Never makes the biggest fights in boxing and Bam is his only elite boxer on the top of by head. I don't count the likes of Bivol and Jai (before he left), because he's not really the promoter, their real promoters just sign a co promotional deal with him for his platform. Warren's current stable pisses all over Hearns'. He's prob the best at talking up bang average fighters though, which is good for them. He has to brass out Katie Taylor to MVP to get her paid and he's happy to take his 20% to 30%He’s the best promoter in the game but as a person, wouldn’t trust him.
