Can't remember any terrorist incidents at football matches I have to say. Very unlikely to ever happen, just thought it might have been a nice gesture. Suppose if people can't be trusted not to do harm to one another for one day then that kinda sums it all up.

I'm sure they said the same thing about using aeroplanes as missiles.

There is a mentality out there that does want to do harm to anyone. Mass casualties.

Remember we only jailed two men for beheading a soldier in the street yesterday.

There was a film on that portrayed an attack on the emirates. Not long ago. Very sobering thought.

Don't take things for granted

Scaremongering that. Terrorists can bomb loads of people anytime they want. Look at the shopping high street right now, or outside busy tube stations. No security there.

And it has happened, London 2005. IRA were at it for a while too.

But we should never give up our culture in fear of it happening again, for that would mean the terrorists win. And they are winning, as public reaction to the NSA revelations show.

Make a poll, Bruce...I'd vote for arranged Boxing Day fixtures to reflect local rivalries. Would enrich the Boxing Day experience for a lot of people.

Al Qaeda are on a whole different level.

Shooting up shopping centres and all the other things on that should tell you its not scaremongering and they would if they got the chance.

I'm not saying no. I'm saying not if it means the police are overstretched.
