Had they given the yellow for Smith running under Ricarlison to begin with, which was an obvious cheap shot, it might not have happened.

It's completely soft IMO, but you can't react like that to every dumb player that has half your talent and is trying to wind you up.

It's a red, regardless of whether that Smith is a rat or not, it's a red.

No Its not, and if you tried to call that on a field with your friends they would laugh you off of it. To get a red you have to do something of note, there was more violent conduct in about 30 tackles in the first half.

I think this is the best measure of what it deserves. I'd kinda shrug and say thanks for that but no way would I be crying out for it. Still it's a stupid thing to do.
