Having slept on it, I'm actually still really annoyed that we essentially bottled it big time yesterday..

We are a team of utter wet blankets and it needs to change, regardless of the actual quality of the players themselves.

The more you think about it,the more angry you will make yourself, yes we should have won, soft red, soft pen we conceeded, yes we could/should have had 2pens for the coleman/tosun fouls etc,yes we could and should have won all 3 games really, the one good thing is we are doing what we are with hardly using the new signings,so all looks good -we have to concentrate better, and we need to stop those stupid things like 2nd goal yesterday were no one was on either post etc, based on how we are doing we should beat Huddersfield next week and even west ham few weeks later though nothing is ever a cert as we are bound to come unstuck v someone no one thinks

True, but I do not want to be in position at the end of the season with thoughts "with two points from wolwerhampton and bournemouth....". This kind of game is must win when you're two up with such game flow.
This is a new coach working with old crew. It'll take time, and I'm gonna give him that. Those four points will only be of importance if challenging for the title, fourth place, or battling relegation- none of which we will do this year.

I’m pretty sure Bournemouth in the last two years have won more points from losing positions than any other team. They’re comeback specialists.

Once they scored 1, they were always gonna get the other, obviously the momentum swung for them massively. The turning point was Baines being an absolute idiot. Love Leighton, but the sooner Digne replaces him the better really.

Really disappointed. But we’ll smash Huddersfield and have 8 points from 4 games. Not a bad start.

We are giving soft goals away & it will cost us this season unless it is addressed...

We are conceding from corners leaving tap ins on the six yard box, it is worrying & can not continue...

Marco needs to tread carefully around not playing Bainsey. Bainsey is something of a ‘club treasure’ and the fans will not take gladly to him being sidelined. Further, it’s been insinuated (mostly by @davek ), that Bainsey and Capt Jags are not people to cross...it’s rumoured (Davek again) they’re back stabbers and bad snides. Probably best for Marco to play Bainsey and Capt Jags if he wants to keep his job.

As disappointing as giving the lead up is hopefully we can learn from it. Davies can learn how to recycle possession and kill the game off. Richie can learn to not do dumb things. Marco can learn to bring on another CB for the last 15 when the game is open like that. We can learn that Baines has lost his ability to defend at a premier league level. Hopefully we can take some of the positives correct the negatives and head to the Emirates in a few weeks on 11 points.

I agree with a lot of the above, but one player seems to escape all punishment and crowd-stick, in fact he keeps getting votes for the captaincy.
Above you mention rightly that 4 points in a season like this could cost us top four. We need a proper right back before a centre-forward.

gutted with 2 points dropped today. should be seeing that game out. defence still a concern though im confident marco can sort it. zouma, digne and mina hopefully brought in over the next few games.
Unless Marco ditches that pointless zonal marking he won't solve it, 4 out of the 5 we've let in have been set pieces, players have no idea what they are supposed to be doing, we are currently worse at defending set pieces than we were under Martinez who admitted that we didn't even practise defending set plays.

Contentious...

ooof, not touching that one...
Seriously though, your right.
Seamus has been around middling to poor this season and not showing up when needed. We hopefully go in for a right back in Jan coz I dont see much in JJK either if im honest, confident ?? Yeah JJK is but I havnt seen much to warrant it. Early days mind you.

Are ya on a wind up lad I'd be quite happy to see Baines and Jags both loaned off to league 2

Clumsy.

Must try harder.
