Booing

It is these days , first misplaced pass of the game and people start shrieking.

Obviously not everybody is going to agree but if someone wants to let me know what beneficial effect it has on our players or performance then let me know

“I pay my money and I’ll go and boo if I want” is a terrible shout. Most people would rather you didn’t pay your money and stayed home and booed your TV

No one I sit by screams at the first mis placed pass. People start getting wound up when the passes are negative, there is no drive in the team, or people aren’t taking responsibility.

Schniederlin set his stall out yesterday by playing a five yard pass back to Williams when he was under no pressure himself, and Williams hoofed it 40 yards because he is a limited footballer with it at his feet.

I didn't boo myself, but no problem with others doing it

You pay for your ticket and thus you have a right to express your displeasure

If clubs insist on treating us as customers instead of supporters then they'll just have to accept this as a natural consequence

Supporters support, customers complain

As someone who spent years in customer service, I can confirm this to be true

Don’t see any problem in fans booing at the end of a game, if the performance warrants it.

What I will never understand is the abuse of individual players. Does anyone who ever screamed abuse at a player really believe it helped them to perform better? There must be players who get to a point where they hate their own fans & give less than 100%. Especially if they’re not intelligent or thick skinned enough to realise the ones shouting abuse are sad morons projecting the disappointments in their own lives.

We’ve had our share of poor players over the years. It’s not their fault they’re not up to it. The fault lies with the board. They’re the ones responsible for ensuring we have a squad & Manager capable of achieving things.

So if a good booing at the final whistle sends a message to the board, then good, but FFS save it for then & get behind your team during the game!

Anyone listen to the phone in on the way home yesterday?

Joe Anderson the mayor was in there having a go as well slating the players. Deffo him because he was saying he has relations with the higher archery at the club

Reck9n when he's with MOSH talking abar the stadium he just goes. Ay how [Poor language removed] is Martina la

I think the opportunity to double his money & play CL football as part of an elite squad had some baring too, but the moronic abuse can’t have helped his loyalty to us.

Well hopefully it'll help get rid of the likes of schnederlin then, though we'll struggle to find someone daft enough to take him

I can’t say I heard anyone booing players in the game yesterday, at the end there was definitely.

Certain players were getting grief in the match, which was I think fair enough as they were a disgrace to the shirt.

You could take any team of ‘professional’ players and have 40,000 people boo them every week and it would have an effect.

We have young players in the team and how anyone thinks it does them any good is beyond me. This ‘I pay my money so I’ll go and boo’ attitude is pathetic and is no doubt related to our failure to win anything for a lifetime
Not once in there did I say 'I pay money, I'll boo,'

Professional athletes have to take the good with the bad. If they are playing below par they need to be held accountable by the fans and that entails so booing. Can't keep playing horribly and have all the happy clappers in the stand reinforce the negative behavior.

I've never really booed the players myself because I've never seen the point. I mean what does it achieve? Now with that being said I would defend anyone's right to boo the players when it's warranted like yesterday. If that's how some people chose to vent their frustrations then they should go for it.

I can’t believe so many people are justifying it.

How do people not realise that it’s a detriment? We’re bad and our players hate playing in front of us , players like John Stones jumped at the chance to leave, he even had to tell the crowd to shut up once.

If our team + manager played in front of a different crowd every week we would be performing better.

How you can expect half of them players to turn up at Goodison and perform well is beyond me, one misplaced pass and be famous Goodison groan comes out. Do something wrong and there is hysteria in the crowd.

You could see it in Koeman’s body language that he wasn’t arsed at the end. There’s no will to fight for this crowd. They all get paid the same as it is
Sorry but the players earn an absolute fortune. They should be able to hand the criticism and expect it. Hell I would for that stupid amount of money. People pay with their hard earned cash. They can boo all they want if you ask me if it's justified.
