Barkley needs game time. He looked excellent coming on against Stoke and stood up to their physicality perfectly fine whilst also starting a few good passing moves. He's come on a lot and you can only cage that much talent for so long before the excuses are drowned out by reality.

In the past when we lost Arteta to injury, Pienaar stepped up and when he was out Osman raised his game. Maybe we expect Fellaini to win matches for us by himself. Without him everyone will have to perform better and I'm sure we'll be fine. We might even learn from it that Naismith in the hole and Barkley on the right offers us more options.

Sub Barkley in for Fellaini and put him on the right with Naismith behind Jelavic. Barkley behind the striker is just as good an option really, although I would like to see Naismith play with Jelavic for a couple of games and see what that partnership's all about.

Wouldn't mind Vellios coming in as a straight swap either as it'd be interesting to see how he does with a genuine strike partner. There's not really many new formations that would really disappoint me, unless Hitz was to come in and Osman was to play off Jelavic with Naismith on the right, but apparently that's unlikely.

Barkley. Barkley. Barkley.

I don't really care how else Moyes plays it but there are loads of positive options here that start with giving Barkley more time on the pitch.

Barkley behind Jelly with Naismith/Oviedo on the right
Barkley behind Jelly with Pienaar on right and Ovideu on left
Barkley on right with Naismith up with Jelly
Barkley on right with Velios up with Jelly

All this is on basis of Mirallas is still crocked whilst Felli is out. If he isn't then just swap him with Naismith

Easy.

what i would like moyes to go for :
howard
coleman jagileka distin baines
barkley gibson osman peinaar
naismith
jelavic.

what i think he'll go for :
howard
coleman jagielka distin baines
naismith gibson osman oviedo
pienaar
jelavic

If neville was fit:

---------Howard-------------
Coleman--- Jags--Distin-- Baines
Osman--Gibson--Neville--Pienaar
---------Naismith-------
--------Jelavic----------

(wow)

This is what I'd like to see assuming kev is out:
---------Howard---------
Coleman--- Jags--- Distin--- Baines
Oviedo--- Gibson--- Osman ---Pienaar
----------Barkley------------------
------------Jelavic-----------

We can all sit here and imagine daring and interesting formations, but secretly we all know Moyes will go with something like this:

-----------------Howard--------------------
Coleman----Jagielka----Distin----Baines
Naismith--Gibson--Osman--Hitzlsperger--Pienaar
------------------Jelavic-------------------

Shame really.

lets just hope we get alteast 6 points from our next 3 games then hopefully felli and miralles willl both be back for newcastle I fancy naismith for a goal against west ham
