Blue Bill

As I've said before I don't trust him as far as I could throw him. Anyone who can tell you they are the biggest blue in the world but then pull the stunts he has & oversaw the multiple failures but kept hold of the club out of his depth for his own personal ego is a bit flakey in my eyes.

He spoke way too fondly of the Kop aswell, as I said it was a generational thing but you don't gush about it like Billy has.

You do 'gush' like that if you're trained in the dramatic arts and spend your life surrounded by actors and other talented performers. It comes with the territory and anyone with the slightest nouse would understand this.

The Dark Arts more like Steve don't fall for his act.

Steve, I'm roughly the same age as yourself, so in our day it was normal for lots of fans Blues/ Reds to go to each other's grounds. I wasn't criticising Kenwright for that, I was casting doubt on the fact he said he went to Anfield and Goodison,
you must admit he has a marvellous imagination.

He had something to do with some of the Hillsborough families after Andy Burnham announced at Anfield that there would be a government inquiry over Hillsborough, this was more than twenty years after the tragedy had occured. As for his heart, where speeches are concerned, I have seen and heard them often enough to know a phoney when I see and hear one.

Steve you are entitled to your opinions nd you give them, the same as I am giving mine..

Have you ever heard of the word empathy? He's connecting with the audience. He's acknowledging a shared identity as a Scouser, not simply as a Red or Blue.

Sooner he's gone the better. I also don't trust a bloke who supposedly sat in the Kop as a lad, Peter Johnson got pelters for being a Kopite and I get the older generation would often go to both grounds but still your not a true blue in my eyes if you could stomach sitting watching that lot in the pit.

My dad and Grandad both blues but went and watched from the Kop if they could not get to the away game.

Quick question which might solve the reason why, are you from Liverpool??

Yes I remember the speach, the Liverpool fans were laughing at him at the point he made when Davie Hickson made his debut for Liverpool v Aston Villa, saying there was 10,000 Everton fans in Anfield that night, I was at at the game, it
was an afternoon kick off 2-30pm, I also remember Ann Williams, who represented the Hillsborough Support Group.
a smaller group and different to the one who invited Kenwright to give his speech, looking at him with scorn when he got up to give the speech, a look that said ' where have you been for the last twenty five years'.

A typical oration by Kenwright, lots of words from his mouth, very little from his heart, in my opinion,by the way did notice from that talk that he went on the Ko, as a very young boy but went in the boys pen at Goodison, he also said he got lifted
up from the front of the Kop UP to where his uncle was, I've been in the Kop 100,s of times, seen thousands of kids
handed DOWN but never UP, as I said a typical Kenright speech, but if you like him and his speeches you are more than welcome to him.

In the kop 100's of times ??? Seriously?? You're a Red Then ??

As mine did hence the "generational thing" but neither my arl fella or I'm assuming yours bleats on about the great kop or it's atmosphere? The blokes an actor who plays upto whoever is his audience hence why I can't trust a word he says.
Nah,my old fella went there when they were "liddellpool"kick and rush the back then, his passion was at goodison,he'd head over there occasionally if we were away and he couldn't get there, and depending on who their opponents were,i.e.say Blackpool with Matthews!!

So...you 'don't trust actors' . Really....enough said. Its a good job that all those years ago when BK took Everton on when no one else would take a chance, that there wasn't a sign on the door saying 'No actors allowed, we don't trust them'.........
