BLOWING THE GOLDEN BOOT

I cant believe the attitude to our most prolific scorer for decades.

If every player we signed stayed with us 4 years, became the best in the PL at what they do then leave for a £50M odd profit on his purchase price we'd have won titles by now.

Couldn't agree more.

Rom's detractors won't be so conceited when we lose the best striker in the Premier League and replace him with Troy Deeney.

Golden boot doesn't help us at all besides maybe increasing his price to what we actually are asking for him.

Kevin Phillips won the Golden Boot, Golden Shoe, and Premier League Player of the season and that raised Sunderland's reputation so high they could sign the likes of Don Hutchinson from us and Stanislav Varga

I'd like to think he could pull it off, but his form in recent games doesn't give me much confidence. Add to that the fact that Sanchez and Kane seem to scoring at regular clip, unless Lukaku gets his thumb out, he might blow it.

They'll be crying in their ale when some no mark the Dutchman signs up to replace him cant hit a cow on the arse with a banjo.

The last part is funny like but yeh, in principle, don't get the hate for Rom (or Ross, either).
