Imagine being given a chance to impress the new boss then doing this.

they shouldn't be getting the chance, Grouch.

They've had it already over the last few games.

It should be about kicking on now. We've got two games of pre-season left after this. We should be clicking through the gears with the first team.

If Silva hasn't made his mind up by now, then I am worried.

keeper , and back 4 all look like league 2 is calling.
midfield , lazy
up top , might as well have a carboard cut out

silva , looking like a cross between rocky in rocky 3 when he had 'no fight' anymore and a puppy that's been told off.

I know its only pre season but that was gash turned up to 11.

The two CBs and Stek were in capable of doing what Silva wants and building from the back. Pennington can't play well even at the championship level and Williams can't play in Silva's system at all.

Robinson played well, JonJoe was rusty but you can see the quality.

Besic was one bad decision after another with Davies very hit or miss.

Impossible to judge the front 4. Siggy hardly made a bad touch - maybe the stumble where he should have scored - but Sandro was inconsistent due to the lack of service, Oumar non-existent (not his fault) and Mirallas was garbage as Jedi got him the ball in dangerous spaces a couple of time.

For Sale: 9 first half starters. No reasonable-ish offer refused.

Ugg, looked like a pick-up game where positions were assigned at random. Shockingly disjointed. No one, save Robinson has done anything show they deserve a spot, even on the bench. Davies, Besic and Pennington the most disappointing. I don't count Williams, that was a given before the opening whistle.

HALF-TIME: Goals from Darragh Lenihan and Dominic Samuel have put Blackburn two up at the break. Everton have looked threatening in spells, with Sigurdsson closest to getting on the scoresheet for the Blues - his shot was well saved after being brilliantly played through by Davies. We'll be back with more minute-by-minute updates in the second half.

EFC OS is like the Ministry of Truth at times.

Were we premature in binning Big Sam? I never thought I'd say this but I'd open the chequebook and offer him whatever he wants. This Marcel and Marco experiment is proving an abject failure

Eh?

Our reserves are losing to a Championship side. Hardly time to give that fat turd a call.
